Kostroma mon amour

Actually, I was born in the Ulyanovsk region, and only then I got to Kostroma through Udomlya and Tver. tongue.gif

But still pulls over the horizon, in unknown distances, hiding behind a weightless haze, adventures and new discoveries.

What kind of glass case is this? Found in early July, however, already dead, on the ZBS MSU on the window of the laboratory. Similar to the one posted by gumenuk at the beginning of the page; assembled.

Male Synanthedon scoliaeformis (Borkhausen, 1789), but quite strange! Can I straighten it?

I don't make the collection myself, I'll give it to Vlad Proklov - maybe he'll figure it out by the congress.
Although in fact, all the few macros with ZBS were planned to be transferred to the Beetle via kotbegemot-but only at the congress...

Penza region, Neverskinsky district, Bikmurzino village area, southern exposure slope, June 12, 2011 (Polumordvinov). In the photo with the groundhog, the biotope managed to collect a series of glass jars.

It seems that the male, on mullein, mowed several times and females with a very beautiful and bright color (red-orange), but they could not be photographed. Straightened copies on pins will be transferred with the rest of the fees. wink.gif

The first two images show the female Synansphecia triannuliformis (Freyer, 1845), and the last one shows the male Synanthedon tipuliformis (Clerck, 1759).

IMHO, you can only guess from such small photos of glass windows. frown.gif
3 - probably Negotiinthia myrmosaeformis. As for 1,2,4-in the Crimea there are many species with identical appearance. It would be nice to crop the background surrounding them in the photo editor and put the butterflies themselves in large size. It is also useful to indicate the biotope and the plant on which they are collected.

The first image is defined correctly! The second and third are very interesting!! The butterfly is similar to the male Synanthedom mesiaeformis (Herrich-Schaeffer, 1846), but with minor differences. In addition, this view is not marked in the Moscow region! Can you view a natural specimen, for example, at the next meeting of an Entomological seminar?
I only photograph them

Then please write very precise details of the shooting location!

You are welcome. write the exact location and date of taking photos!! Glasshouses are quite a difficult group. Many views from different regions are very similar in appearance in the images.

I would like to know how many types of glassworms can be found in the Forest-Steppe ?And is it worth taking them if they pop up? Small ones this year were caught on oak firewood and leaking oak sap. It seems that they even differed in appearance (approximately 10-15 mm long body).
