In Malaysia (and in peninsular and Borneo), I encountered a lot of cicadas that literally clung to the screens at night. During the day, they are much more difficult to calculate, and they are buried in the highest tiers. Most song cicadas from Southeast Asia are transparent-winged, which improves camouflage. The body also camouflages under the trunk of a tree or under the foliage.
The largest cicadas and representatives of Heteroptera in general are those from the recently isolated genus Megapomponia:
Megapomponia imperatoria (Westwood, 1842) The maximum recorded wingspan of an adult male is 217 mm. It was caught in Cameron Highlands and is now held in the David Williams Collection in the United States. It is found only in peninsular Malaysia and Songapur. All other findings are unreliable. Filmed in Fraser Hills.

Compared to other large cicadas (possibly Pomponia sp.):
In Borneo, the largest is the world's second largest Megapomponia merula (Distant, 1905). Taken in the Crocker Range National Park:
Also a large cicada from Fraser Hills - Pomponia decem (Walker, 1857):
