Does anyone know of reliable finds of Cholius luteolaris (Scopoli, 1772) in Russia and neighboring countries?

Does anyone know of reliable finds of Cholius luteolaris (Scopoli, 1772) in Russia and neighboring countries?

There is an old find from the Moscow region (Konobeyevo) - a copy in the Zoo Museum.
Skidding, most likely.

picture: cholius_luteolaris_01.jpg

And fresh finds - from the Nizhny Novgorod and Saratov regions.

Isn't the photo a different species of Eurhodope cirrigerella, judging by the palps and the width of the front wing?

If the find from the Saratov region is reliable, then why is it not included in the work "Fauna lepidopterologica Volgaur-alensis" by Anikin et al., 2017?

17.03.2019 17:13, niyaz

The indication for the Saratov region (Anikin, 2010) is strange https://cyberleninka.ru/article/n/nahodka-c...koy-oblasti.pdf. The article is devoted to the discovery of Cosmopterix orichalcea in the Samara region, although the species is already known in the Middle Volga region from the Ulyanovsk region and Kazan province (Sinev, 2005), and Cholius luteolaris is mentioned in passing, although in the work (Kumakov and Korshunov, 1979) this species ("Cholius ochrealis") is listed as "not found by us" and Only the old dubious reference to Sarepta (now the Volgograd region) is cited (Becker, 1862).

The indication for the Nizhny Novgorod region (Pozhogin et al., 2017) for the (!) forest zone (Arzamas district, Pustyn) is no less strange https://cyberleninka.ru/article/n/dopolneni...dskoy-oblasti-2

The old designation for the Chistopol uyezd of Kazan province (Krulikowsky, 1908) as Scoparia ochrealis is also strange, in the absence of Eurhodope cirrigerella, which is not very rare in Tatarstan.

Old direction for the Rostov region (Taganrog) how Scoparia ochrealis was not taken into account in the work (Alferaki, 1876) and not confirmed in modern works by Poltavsky and Cholius luteolaris remains unknown in adjacent and well-studied regions such as Krasnodar Krai and Crimea.

But what is the interesting basis for the guidelines for the Kaliningrad region, the Central and Central Chernozem regions in the "Catalog of Lepidoptera of Russia" (2008)?

17.03.2019 17:25, Vlad Proklov

For the Central One-just on the photographed copy that L. Albrecht published-and this is really E. cirrigerella! I.e., the 8th region can be safely crossed out!

Take a trip to the Desert. There is forest-steppe in some places, as well as everywhere in the region where it exists. Gullies, gullies, etc.

Will there be a photo of a Cholius luteolaris specimen from the Nizhny Novgorod region and when?

This is also not Cholius luteolaris https://macroid.ru/showphoto.php?photo=193482 Representatives of Scoparinae do not fold their wings like this.

You're wrong. Follow the link, add up.

http://www.lepiforum.de/lepiwiki.pl?Cholius_Luteolaris

Photos of Nizhny Novgorod luteolaris, to be honest, I was looking for yesterday, but I didn't find it. Perhaps I didn't photograph them because of the unambiguous definition (it is extremely difficult to confuse this species with cirrigerella from the genitals; and I don't cook genitals only in very obvious species, such as Evergestis frumentalis). Taking into account the fact that spring has already begun and there are leather eaters, my material is removed for the summer (I wrap the boxes with stretch film), so you need to wait until October at least until I get the material and take a picture of this beautiful view.

Thank you. Are there any known finds of another firefly species in Ukraine, Asalebria florella Mann, 1862?

I don't have this information.

I don't have that information.

It is a pity, but from the taiga zone of the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia it is given https://elibrary.ru/item.asp?id=23151967 The lepidopterergic el Dorado, however.

The Nizhny Novgorod Volga region belongs to the forest-steppe zone.

It was cited from the Sumy region by Govorun A.V.

I wrote to A.V. Talker about floella. He also could not confirm it from the Sumy region, the material rotted in the refrigerator under mold. The nearest finds are probably now only in Romania and in the Krasnodar Territory (Anapa) (Shchurov and Lagoshina, 2013).
