In general, stop talking. We will learn all errors experimentally, and not develop theories for creating such a site.
I post a list of Moldovan barbels for now:
pisok is still far from complete. The fact is that there is simply no way to review everything. There may also be errors. I caught only a part of the entire list myself.
Some names are outdated and need to be replaced.
When adding new items, I will post the places and times of finds so that the list is more complete.

I recommend that you take your time with the list. First, it is desirable to bring it in line with modern taxonomy, ditch errors, and put down authors. And what would be very nice and useful is to note the species that you either caught or at least saw collectible specimens from the territory of Moldova. By the way-Ag. subchalybaea is very cool and questionable for your places.
As for Parmena, there is definitely one in Moldova, the question is what kind...

KingSnake:
I can suggest this: we do the main one here, with discussions, with comments, and WHO wants to join the creation of a specific site, where we will insert information and photos from here.

What are you, gentlemen? We have a great forum where you can simply create (and they have already been created) subsections for one or the other. Don't go crazy and make life difficult for the creators and moderators. As for the pictures, no problem. Take a look at what good pictures we already have. And there will be more. For example, I can also help you if you need to get personal. Do not complicate your life, it is already not sugar.

I totally agree! It seems to me that there is no need to reinvent the wheel when it has been around for a long time. Creating an electronic atlas alternative to the ZIN site is an empty task for a simple reason - it is a global and very time-consuming work that requires, in addition to collecting information and high-quality photos, also bringing them into proper shape, and careful verification of information on taxa by narrow specialists. To do this, at least, you need a good editorial board. I think that you should not turn this glorious forum into a pathetic semblance of something global! In my opinion, a great topic is regional lists of insect families, given the geographical component of the participants. Naturally, with subsequent refinement and editing. smile.gif

I wonder if it will be possible to make links to photos from the list of types somehow. It's just going to be a lot more convenient than going through 20 pages looking for a specific view. Yes, and it is possible that there will be problems with creating a determinant..

In principle, we don't need a site like Zinovsky's. That one is too big, there are too many sections and booklets. We only need a couple of sections.

Of course, this should be done. And the description and photo are in "Images"

Good afternoon,

I want to join the discussion as an administrator of this forum (I was invited by the local moderators). Regarding the discussion that was above: "Biokartinki" was not even planned as a serious project with a phylogenetic database. The only goal was to "promote" the online biological atlas on the simplest and most convenient engine for participants. a similar discussion was already held in the neighboring forum of nerds. There, too, the "bio-pictures" project has clearly outgrown the existing engine. regarding "ZIN'a", "help ZIN'u", etc. - I twice tried as politely and correctly as possible to organize a DISCUSSION of some kind of cooperation between the local forum and the ZIN'ov project. In response, I received only the promise "we will think about it and respond" and nothing else. I.e. cooperation with ZIN is not as easy as it seems at first glance. as for "it's bad when non-professionals take up the task" - I completely agree. The Internet is a free zone, and everyone does what they want, but I sincerely do not advise inexperienced people to take on such a complex project - you will just lose time.
Current situation:
as mentioned above, nerds raised a similar question a few months ago. You need to organize a web project:
* in which anyone can participate;
* the project should be based on a phylogenetic database (it is assumed that it will be taken from NCBI, it is assumed that it will be possible to change this database when updating to NCBI).
* there should be "search", "moderation", etc.
* it is necessary that new materials are introduced no more difficult than they are now (the only exception is that the location of shooting/trapping will be mandatory).
* it is necessary that an online guide/encyclopedia can be included in a SINGLE project (for botanists, "Plant Life").

Since the phylogenetic base is quite large and since a strict condition is set-everything should work very simply "in one click", it is completely unrealistic to hope that it will be possible to adapt some ready-made universal engine. Obviously, you will have to write an individual project specifically for this project.

The work will go something like this (it is already underway):
1) we understand what properties the project should have (together with specialists);
2) we plan how the database is organized, access, etc. (so far only I, if there are still experienced people, will be happy);
3) the engine is ordered on the side (I just don't have time for it myself writing).

Some first results should appear this summer.

Now the best help from entomologists would be to list what properties such a project should ideally have. Something at the level of:
"it is necessary to indicate the location of shooting/trapping"
"it is necessary that the moderator can control all new arrivals in one place, and not run around the entire database"
" it is necessary to provide a trail. fields in the description of insects: ......."
"I would like to be able to download the following things from this project to my local computer: .... "
etc
.

If botanists make such a good project, then I suggest writing forage plants for insects and giving a link to the botanical database. This is b2-e cool.

I'm not a specialist, but an amateur, but:
You need to specify: date, place as accurately as possible, conditions (what you were sitting on, whether you came to light, whether you caught a net in flight, etc.)

Also an amateur, but I will object - not everyone will want to shine local populations of rarities. Therefore, it is not a good idea to place the map as precisely as possible. But the area must be specified in any way!

Well, who does not want to shine, he will not. But if it is not difficult, then to paint.
