Impolite, that.
Decency requires you to first ask what rank the passerby is from.

I would like to join you. But let's not make any guesses. Does Polyphila fula occur???

Well done. Although, it should be south-west and closer to July, but I found a map of distribution in the Saratov region. Maybe we will.

I'm going to the May days in the Demerdzhi area or in the Crimean Nature Reserve (I haven't decided yet), but I'm afraid I won't pull a full-fledged autonomous car, because the burden is too heavy for one, I'll have to rent a house and go to the radialki. Please tell me where you can rent a room/bed there, so that it is far away from the city and closer to the mountains. Maybe there are proven options? Just in case, I'll take the generator. Or shouldn't you? I looked for a gas station in the Lavender area, but you don't run into it. It is better to catch near the house, connect from the electric network. I will be grateful for any tips and maps of springs. Also, it is not too late to join the expedition, I will be glad to have your company. There is still a chance to buy tickets.

We will be in Sevastopol...

14.04.2012 23:13, Seneka

Unfortunately, I didn't plan to go there. I want to wander around Demerdzhi, it's beautiful there, judging by the photo. And for what purpose are you going to Sevastopol, what is caught there?

With entomological purposes, we are going smile.gifWell, and a friend of the family has a dacha there, respectively, there will be no problems with housing.

23.05.2012 13:38, Igorvet

At the end of June, I'm going to Bulgaria (50 km south of Burgas) to take my family for a walk at the sea, and at the same time catch something. Last year was more or less good. Night fishing probably won't work out, although we'll look at it on the spot.

This Saturday (2.06.2012) I plan to go to the PTZ. Looking for fellow travelers.

04.06.2012 17:16, Dracus

Colleagues, at the end of June, a very interesting trip to the Ryazan region is planned for 2-3 days, you need a person with a generator (light enough to be dragged on yourself, or with a car on which you can carry it)!
Details - in the personal account.

Very soon I will move, as usual, to Eastern Yakutia. The question is, do people need insects other than beetles and butterflies? There are a lot of eardrums, some of the right-winged ones, even long-legged mosquitoes were ordered that year, although there were not many.

I would love to buy any Asilidae, if you found them in the collections, and not only from these places, but also from any other points, including from the European part of Russia.

Them, by the way, as well as other flies, it is better in alcohol?

Well, I do not know - here, I think, Pirx will best advise (based on my experience), but I mostly collect them initially on mattresses, then straighten them out, although often with such storage, the tendrils break off, etc., but...I try to be careful))) I also dealt with pickled specimens - in principle, with such a collection, they were stored for a long time, generally retained their color, but they were dealt with with difficulty (the limbs usually did not bend, which led to problems of a certain kind, given their length when an insect was pricked on a needle).

Who wants to join? I go by my own car, at the end of August, for 5-10 days. The route is approximate, if you are interested in any other places in the area-please suggest.

sorry for the idiot's question. imagine the situation — in my spare time I ran around the Kostroma Straits with a net and nowhere else (Moscow time region and Leningrad and Kostroma and all) - and then I find myself at the end of July in Borneo.

and I'm certainly somewhat lost. first of all, how to remove butterflies from there? put it in your luggage and make a stone face? share your advice about this
and about Borneo in general.

thank you very much
Lesha

Exactly.
By the way, there was somewhere a topic "Catching insects in the tropics" (or "abroad"), there you can still read

People, please advise where you can catch ANY representative of the genus Parnassius? Has anyone caught them in the Krasnodar Territory? I watched them even in the middle zone of Russia catch. I've never caught it... Maybe someone will help... I will be glad for any information on them.

23.07.2012 0:53, Dracus

Your P. nordmanni flight is just about to start. It definitely exists in Krasnaya Polyana, for example. I think knowledgeable people will tell you more points.

Thank you. But maybe someone caught on Krasnaya Polyana? Who knows where to catch them there? To my shame, I've never been to Krasnaya Polyana. My wife was at work, says there is one continuous construction site... frown.gif Maybe someone will make a company specifically for collecting parnassiuses? I will be very grateful... smile.gif

23.07.2012 15:52, Dorcadion

It's still low on Krasnaya Polyana, so you need to go higher on the lane. Aishkha, or along the Mzymta valley.
Their dofiga is now flying in Lagonaki, you need to get to the cordon on hr. Kamennoe Morya, pay for a pass, and go towards the city of Oshten, and catch them there, but not very openly, "reserve" still...

Well, nifigase, in Lagonaki... This is all the way beyond Maykop... I've never even been to Krasnaya Polyana in 33 years... All the time I somehow went up in the mountains and I was quite happy with it... I could not imagine that parnassiuses are so accessible until I got to this site... For some reason, I thought that apollons fly only in very inaccessible places like the Tien Shan in alpine meadows and only for a short period in the spring, just like Polyxena and Zerinthia Caucasica fly... Tomorrow (today) we will go up the Mzymta River. Maybe a Dream can really come true... smile.gif
