Dima DD
thank you very much! smile.gif
And where did they suddenly come from in such a crazy amount? I've never had it before (the 5th floor of an ordinary Moscow apartment in Maryino).

Exactly the same story and also for the first time I see this. Only I counted a total of 50 pieces in the kitchen and in the room. I live in Lublin. 11th floor.

17.05.2013 4:25, vasiliy-feoktistov

And not only in Moscow. There are plenty of them in the Moscow region right now. In Zheleznodorozhny, in particular, around. Do not panic: they are completely harmless. Just a massive flight happened.

17.05.2013 6:31, JuVit

Kyrie,
my sister suggested that they had flown before, but the years were still when the windows were closed, in a normal spring.
And this year, spring has bypassed smile.gifus, we went from winter immediately to summer, and therefore met with those strangers who had not been seen in apartments before.
It seems to me a logical assumption.
It is good that they are not dangerous smile.gif

Hello. Last week we returned with my husband bitten from the dacha. They were afraid that bedbugs, too painful bites were similar and bitten at night. The child, oddly enough, was not touched, although he sleeps with us.
This weekend I returned to the dacha with dichlorvos and found oblong insects of about 0.7 mm with a light transverse stripe. Their furry larvae also crawled, giving the impression that they were crawling backwards.
Unfortunately, I put my camera somewhere and couldn't take a picture. From dichlorvos immediately died. Who are they?

Determining by description is not the case at all. But in your case, I will decide.
1) Your insects are 99% ham skin-eating beetles (Latin name Dermestes lardarius). You can take a look at them: http://aramel.free.fr/Dermestes-lardarius-montage.jpg and read about them: http://www.pesticidy.ru/pest/dermestes_lardarius
2) They have nothing to do with bites on your body. Look elsewhere for the reason. Maybe banal mosquitoes?
3) Only with the size of the beetles, I think you got it wrong: 0.7 cm, not mm (i.e. their size is about 7 mm).

Yes, you're right, 0.7 cm. The photos are very similar. The most difficult thing left is to find those who bit... Thank you very much!

Poor pachyderms-everyone suspects them of something bad. But they do not bite and do not harm garden plants. smile.gif

And there is nothing diabolical about their invasion - last year there were a lot of hawthorn butterflies, this year they are sitting on every flower.

This depends on changes in the food supply, the weather, and much more.
Probably, some residents of cities would prefer to live in a sterile environment, where there are no insects. mad.gif

Just the other day, a man complained to me that crowds of black insects had swooped down on his blooming apple trees. He decided that they were " plum sawflies that came to us from the Caucasus." I poured liters of poison on them and went to buy a new one. wall.gif

When he saw my photo of pachyderms, he said - " yes, they are plum sawflies!", although the photo shows buzzers (club-shaped formations behind the wings, they are only found in flies and mosquitoes (diptera), and sawflies are hymenoptera).

Hello. Some time ago, small(very small) biting beetles appeared in the room. The size of the smallest ones is the size of a needle's point, the size of the largest ones is ~0.7-1mm, at least not seen anymore. They bite constantly, not just at night. It looks dark, maybe black and sometimes brownish, especially if it bites, too small to see. sometimes I can see a white spot on them. They disappeared for the winter, but now they're back, and they're getting bigger and bigger every day. If it goes on like this, they'll eat everything in a week. Bites are very itchy, I catch if I feel that someone is running over me or I see on the wall / laptop screen, etc. It turns out to crush only with my nails, very hard, sometimes the sound seems to burst? but they do not jump and there are no spots on the bed from bites like.

Denmark, a couple of families from Somalia, Pakistan, Iraq, and Iran live next door. These kids are too small so that the usual photoaparate can take a normal picture of them, later I'll take a picture on the DSLR, and I'll post it.

Good day to all!

Please help us identify the animals that have settled in the bathroom! Crawls out in the dark. It is not possible to take a photo - it quickly runs away in the light.

It has an elongated body with a length of 5-8 mm. The color is either dark brown or silver. It doesn't look like a sugar flake, because it doesn't have whiskers, tails, etc. Only a few pairs of short legs. If you crush it, it leaves a moth-like mark. I searched the entire Internet, I didn't find anything similar from the photo((

The bathroom is dry, there are no leaks anywhere.

Help plz, and then the child gets scared...

I apologize. if you posted it in the wrong place!

Hello!
Tell me, please, what kind of beetles are these? At first they were found in the crevices at the sink in the kitchen, after the repair they disappeared. Then they appeared in the living room next to the cracks of the PVC window.
They run moderately fast, when you try to crush them with your finger, they jump sharply 5 centimeters to the side. For comparison, on the 3rd photo together with the ant.
I Googled it and didn't find an answer. I'll be glad if you can help.
Thanks!

And how to overcome them? Are there any effective remedies?

Hello! Fellow entomologists! Please help me!
The apartment is run by an impudent fly beetle! I think it's a thick-legged mosquito. Above in this topic, we already asked about it, it looks similar in the photo.
But! I am very concerned about the fact that if these creatures are so harmless and feed on nectar, then why do they fly at me as soon as I enter the room? And they just sit down, and when I try to brush them away, they don't fly away, but try to crawl away?
The most important thing! And the worst part! When you crush them (which is not so easy), some have blood inside, and some don't. I actually studied biology for a long time, but I don't remember what a beetle can have inside it. And why does someone have it and someone doesn't?
Sorry for the verbosity, my nerves are on edge! I'm afraid for the baby. There are grids on all the windows, and these creatures are climbing out of nowhere.

31.05.2013 14:38, sergandy

Gentlemen experts, I finally received an opinion from Roszdravnadzor. It was determined that in the apartment where there were linen mats as sound insulation and insulation, the gamaz mite of the genus Androlaelaps (Haemolaelaps) (Acari: Gamasina), sem. Laelapide, a species of Androlaelaps casalis.
The apartment has been empty for 3 months, at first there were also hay eaters, but now you can't see them. these ticks must have eaten them.
Poison is offered with a combination of cypermethrin and chlorpyrifos. and to be honest, after such processing, I don't even want to live there.
who can tell you how long it takes for these ticks to die? the water in the apartment is blocked, there doesn't seem to be any organic matter. maybe there is some biological way to bring them out? Essential oils did not give any results.
I would appreciate all your help.

Hello, dear entomologists!
I really need your help.
Help identify the insect.
The average size is 1.5-2 mm. My parents ' entire house is filled with it. eek.gif
The animal has 3 pairs of legs, antennae bent back, and a raised back part
Unfortunately, it is difficult to take a good picture with a simple soap dish.

I enclose the photo.
There are several questions: what kind of animal?
Is it dangerous for pets?
How do I withdraw them and where did they come from?
I will be grateful for your answers ))

And how can they be deduced? We have nothing to eat for them - we store all flour and cereals in containers, I checked everything now - there are no beetles in the kitchen. They crawl through rooms and corridors in packs.
Will they disappear themselves, or will they just keep running around in droves? weep.gif

05.06.2013 9:37, AGG

well, if there is no place in cereals, then they could come from neighbors or from the street to the light in an open window. if they don't find food, they'll die themselves

Eresus niger (Petagna, 1787): the animal is certainly beautiful, but there is a separate topic for the definition of spiders.

Not quite similar because it is a different hay eater (there are many different ones!)

Good afternoon, at night I went to the bathroom, and saw some kind of infection crawling on my leg!

I was afraid that a tick, I touched it. It started to run away, I took a sneaker out of fear and tried to swat it, but it didn't work out. Then I crushed him with a spray can. In the afternoon, I caught another one on the windowsill.
People tell me what kind of beetle, or what is its name ?

At home the child, I am afraid that this infection would not bite.
Thank you in advance for your answers.
