The same hay eater, but the species is already different, I think Liposcelis sp. So yes, books can eat quite well. I have one book that I bought in second-hand condition, with the passages cut by hay eaters. Judging by the strong smell of paper, the previous owner fought them with tobacco.

05.03.2016 10:18, АРИМАН

Is there a species of hay eater that bites people?

05.03.2016 21:59, ИНО

No.

It's not a bug, it's a bug, but don't worry, it's not a bed bug. They attack you only in your imagination. We just went to winter quarters. No way to fight.

Dear experts. Please help me with my problem-there are insects at home. We poison every week for 2.5 months. I can't sleep at night, allergies, horror. They called various disinfectors, but they still bite. Handed over to the laboratory as a result, they found a skin eater, they said they do not bite.Small white dots fall from the top of the kitchen. On the base of the chandelier, we noticed obscure black dots. In the washing machine under the container, they also found a lot of black dots. Most bite in the kitchen and bathroom. After the last disinfection, I found this insect on bolkon, and in the bed I found a red dot. I don't know what to do. Please help me solve the problem.

I found this insect on bolkon

And where is it?
Please understand: without a photo, it is even more hopeless than guessing on coffee grounds.

09.03.2016 19:43, ИНО

How can Kristi50 take a photo if she hasn't found a single copy yet? I don't understand something else: what do you mean, " biting at the forge and in the bathroom?" Kristi50, do you sleep there? Or just come in and immediately bite, remaining completely invisible? Then it's a poltergeist of some sort, not insects.

10.03.2016 7:56, Kristi50

Sorry here are my photos.

10.03.2016 16:00, ИНО

1 - some kind of red spot, too light for a bloody one. It may well be someone's excrement, as well as many, many other things.
2 - clumps of dust.
3 - whether a lump of dust, or someone's excrement, perhaps a mouse, although here you need to know the scale.
4 - birch fruit.

The quality of the photos is terrible, if there really was a small insect, I'm afraid it would not have been determined even before the squad.

The bug you photographed definitely has nothing to do with bites. In addition to it, there is not a single object in your photos that could even be considered traces of insect activity. Flour crustaceans can be dangerous for mass reproduction only for your food supplies.
This is quite enough for you to imagine what we are talking about.:

Please!!! Tell me what kind of abomination appeared in my office, it flies in a swarm and only in 2 places, near the workplace (around me) and on the window, for some reason they die and arrange a whole cemetery, you will remove them from there in a couple of hours there are again the same number. The room is dry, the windows are closed in winter, there are no products and flowers, I can't even find a similar picture of what this abomination is.All sorts of dichlorvos smoking and so on does not work, oh yes... they sometimes disappear for a week or two and then come back

Photos, of course, "gorgeous", especially the second one, it seems as if sloppily ate a bun with poppy seeds. Try cropping a section of the first image with insects, and then fill it in in full size. If you still don't get an acceptable quality, find a magnifying glass and place it close to the lens before shooting. If there is an optical zoom, then turn it up to maximum before doing so.

Necrocephalus correctly identified it as a forid, and the species is very different from the Megaselia scalaris, which is well known to me as an apartment cohabitant. According to the photos, it is problematic to determine these flies, but according to such photos, it is impossible IMHO. So I'm afraid that the question of what or from whom they will come out of you will remain open. You will have to look for a place for larval development on your own, with so many flies, this should not be so difficult. First of all, I would pay attention to possible deposits of rotting food, as well as the sewer system. Well, in general, try to track the flight path of flies, they do not teleport to the window in a dead form. Maybe you don't have access to some office space, such as a storage room?

Some kind of caterpillar or larva.

All right. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to say more from these photos. It looks like you can see false legs in the abdomen, in this case it's either a butterfly or a sawfly, but if it just seemed to me, and in fact there are only three pairs of chest legs, then most likely a beetle.

And, sorry, at the usual page scale for me, the right photo was not visible. This is a young larva of a beetle, about the family, however, I find it difficult, it is necessary to ask coleopterologists. And why was it even necessary to stick the left picture?
