Can anyone explain what it is?if you don't look closely, you can't see it, but if you sit down and take a good look, you can see it clearly.
I vacuum it up again, there are no cockroaches, but I know that their feces are black, if you drop water, it does not dissolve.

Good afternoon. He chopped wood from felled walnuts and cherries. I took it to the basement so that it wouldn't get wet in the open air. Less than a month later, small beetles appeared on the nut (mostly). They move slowly, but have wings and jump freely. 1.5-2 mm in length. Tell me what kind of "guests" are.

P.S. Happy Victory Day to all!!!

Bark beetles are not good to eat. How can I etch it?

P.S. Thank you for your prompt response

They will not harm the firewood in any way, but they can populate weakened trees in the garden (it seems to me that nuts and cherries are not from the "wild" naturesmile.gif, so it doesn't hurt to spray the firewood with something insecticidal)

09.05.2017 15:13, sjitskiy

Do you recommend any good insecticide against them?
I'm just afraid that they will move from the basement to the house on the first floor and then to the roof and the strapila will cut through all

Bark beetles of this genus live only in the bark of weakened trees, they cannot develop in the building wood of the houseyes.gif, they are harmful to them-if they populate the trees of the garden, they will be destroyed...

10.05.2017 16:38, sjitskiy

I bought neomid antizhuk, sprayed all the firewood with a sprayer yesterday. Today, the beetles are all lying down, they do not show signs of life. I'll spray it again in a couple of days.
Thank you for your help.

Dear experts, please identify what kind of insects are these? at first glance, harmless midges-but they turn out to eat the joints of wallpaper seams, and the seams in the bathroom tiles! I accidentally discovered that they live in an apartment for about a year... I thought everything would just fall apart. Can they bite at night?...

It's hard to tell from these photos, but the one that's black with wings looks like a sciarid. Sciarids reproduce in the soil, for example, in pots with indoor plants.

Of course, I understand that the pictures are not very good, but maybe someone can tell me what kind of friend this is? It's sooo small, I'm tired of taking pictures, and that gray crap next to it is part of the nail scissors. It looks black in real life, there is a light spot on the body. I was even surprised by this photo because it didn't really look like it came out as it seems to me. The second day in a row already see and all would be nothing if they at this moment did not crawl on ME (((I have a panic already((

Your "companions" are like ticks. They can crawl from the attic or from the balcony where birds live.
Try taking a picture through a magnifying glass.

Good afternoon!
Help us identify who it is and how to deal with it. Small insects, smaller than a millimeter, were found. Smaller ones have a white color, larger ones are light gray. They were found on the sofa and on the furniture. Here are such photos turned out:

They're not insects. These are gamase mites. Here are some links:

Thanks for the reply. If they are ticks, then there should be bites. I didn't find anything. We don't keep animals in the house.

Bites are absolutely optional and absent in the vast majority of cases of occurrence of these ticks (and ticks are the largest systematic group of arthropods, many of which are not bloodsuckers at all, but predators and / or saprophages). They can appear in the dwelling, for example, from attics and balconies (if birds nest there (or have nested there): pigeons, swallows, swifts. In some cases, the option is not excluded from basements, if rodents live there. Skidding with soil for indoor plants is also possible. And the fact that your incognito is gamase mites, there is no doubt.

We don't have a basement, we live in a detached house: on the first floor there are garages, on the second floor there is an apartment (this is happening in England). In the attic and really live some birds, and not the first year, but to attack in the form of new neighbors in the first. Can you advise me how to get rid of them, and then my pregnant brain turns on panic at the word "tick".

The neighborhood is really unpleasant (although panicking is a thankless task). The best way to get rid of uninvited guests is to eliminate the root cause of their appearance, that is, to exclude the possibility of nesting birds: ticks can be both their parasites and saprophages-the inhabitants of their nests (there is a lot of exfoliated skin of chicks, feathers, corpses of dead chicks, and finally, in a word, everything that is to the taste of gamaz mites. In addition, I strongly advise you to contact a specialized service (analogous to the Soviet SES) - you can hardly imagine that there are none in the United Kingdom.P.S.
By the way, if your house is an apartment building, ticks can also creep into your apartment from neighbors.

Thank you for your participation in solving the problem. We live in this building alone. It is designed only for one apartment and garages. The neighbor's house is about a meter away from us. I asked my husband where the birds nest in the attic, it turned out just above the room where the named guests appeared. The other rooms have not yet been found. I'll look for a specialized service here, of course. What about steam generator treatment? will he be able to help at least for a while? And then the child and we are constantly in the room with parasites.
The following specimen was fished out of the water today:

People, please help me identify them and advise me on what to do.
A month ago, beetles appeared in the bathroom and toilet floor. Then they began to fall from all the cracks (even lamps) and today I found them behind the pipe. They are hard, black, often just lying on the floor or moving slowly. I don't know where they came from, but they've already started crawling out of the rooms. How to deal with this? Should I call the service?
Thank you all!

Some kind of "weevil". It can also be a common barn weevil or Grain elephant (Sitophilus granarius). It's impossible to say more precisely, since the photo is crappy.
Read it online. (The library is closed at 3 a.m.)
To the "Service" account... "see a psychiatrist," because a mentally normal person will not slowly kill himself or his relatives with poison, and even for money. wall.gif lol.gif
