I am tormented by doubts about the redness of these cockroaches, since the prusak larvae from the first age to the last are bicolored, and in the photo - unicolored. Although, maybe, they dried up like that.

04.07.2017 23:55, holerik

google showed me identical photos.. What do you think, is it really possible to remove such an infection? We walk around the apartment and crush everything we find. In a few minutes, 5 woodlice, two black spiders with five and a two-ruble coin, 10 pieces of cockroach larvae and three more dead beetles... We have pigeons on that floor. The floor also floods regularly. the ceilings are collapsing and the apartment is more of a terrarium than a living space for people...

05.07.2017 0:05, ИНО

Under such conditions, it is unrealistic to twist the "infection". But if it's really that bad (ceilings are collapsing), then these harmless arthropods are the last thing you should worry about.

05.07.2017 12:19, AGG

If the beetles Alphitobius diaperinus, they just often come across on the last floors, where they penetrate from the attic where pigeons live, and as they say, can be carriers of any infection

After capital repairs from housing and communal services in the apartment in the late afternoon, such individuals began to appear here. It seems that they don't run at anyone, they run fast, so at first they were confused with cockroaches, but they frighten the child wildly. more than once they were found on bed linen or in the folds of the bed. What's it? And how can this be deduced?

Hello everyone. Please tell me what kind of beetles are in the photo. The third day I can't sleep, as it gets darker, they climb out of nowhere. First they fly, then they fall from the ceiling to the floor. They crawl very quickly, crunching when crushed, black, about 1 cm long, maybe a little more. We live in a wooden house in Rep. Tatarstan. In the children's room, someone seems to be rustling over the window... maybe these beetles are rustling, I don't know... tell me what they are called and how to get rid of them. What they can do more harm I would like to know. Thank you in advance for your answers

Do you know why they won't tell you anything? Because there is no photo. And "crunch when crushed" and "black about 1 cm" do not say anything...

Hello everyone
I found the remains of some animal on the floor next to the bed in a rented apartment. It feels like you accidentally crushed it with a sneaker or like it's faded.
It looks like a bedbug (according to my student memories), but I don't seem to wake up at night, there are no bites in the morning.

There was also some kind of black seed nearby - maybe also from this animal ?)

After that, I started looking for traces of bedbugs near the sofa, found almost nothing, but in the end I saw a crawling bug.

Looks like a leatherhead, as far as I can tell with my dilettante mind.
Please help us identify our neighbors!
Thank you for your help!

We were shocked when we saw it. When I read his name from your post, I Googled it, so there were even more questions about how he ended up in a Moscow apartment.
Did I understand correctly that it is widespread in Asia and Africa and will not survive in our cold?)

No, there are more of them in Moscow now than usual. And not only in Moscow. Normally, they survive here. smile.gif

Dear insect experts, Please tell me! There are very small bites (?) At first, it looks like a pimple-a blister with liquid and itches (about 3 mm in size). The shape is somewhat similar to a mini volcano

21.07.2017 21:41, ИНО

Some kind of shadow theater. If we assume that the openwork shadow at the bottom left indicates a wing, then this is definitely not a flea, not a louse, not a bed bug, or any of the human parasites known in Europe. Perhaps the silhouette of the body, antennae and legs most resembles thrips, but they do not bite.

22.07.2017 13:39, okoem

Tell me: is it a midge or anyone at all, and can it leave such pimples-bites?

Bed beetles can leave bites (during the day they hide in different crevices, under the baseboard, behind wallpaper) or ticks, for example, you may have bird nests inhabited by ticks on your balcony or in the attic. And this midge has nothing to do with it.

Greetings!
Such guests are found on the kitchen floor. This is the fourth time in the last three days, so I don't think the guests are just flying in through the open window. So, it's time to find out who I'm dealing with, and I really hope for help.

Thank you. I live very high up, guests fly so rarely that first of all I can't help thinking who could have bred right at home. But these guys don't seem to be planning on hurting me.

No, they definitely don't plan to harm you. There are a lot of them in St. Petersburg, I send them out almost daily.

Good afternoon. Such a problem: in general, I came home, I don't touch anyone. Then the cat, which was lying next to the bed, begins to behave strangely - jumped up and ran, as if something was very scared. My cat is not particularly a sports fan, and this time he ran so fast that all the sprinters in the world would envy him his speed. I, naturally, wondering what happened, the devil may have moved in, and I wanted to take and expel the filthy thing from my little animal, but when I looked closely, I saw that some kind of creature was flying after him. And she knew that she was flying after him - he was under the sofa - she was in the same place, he was in the kitchen - she followed. I shooed it away, of course, but it's such a beast that it started attacking me. A massacre ensued. I thought about calling the police - this was the first time I'd ever encountered such a fearless monster. I went, or rather ran, to another room, remembering that I had a thick magazine lying on the table there. I ran away, and when I came back armed to the teeth, the scum hid as if it had never been there. Silence. I searched around and found her behind a painting hanging on the wall. She again began to attack me brazenly and furiously, I cracked her with a magazine, she flew to the window, which was slightly ajar and slipped through this crack. I immediately closed the window. But that's half the trouble. There is a grid there. The thing was trapped between the screen and the window. She won't be able to get to me, thank God, but what I care about is what it was all about. Unfortunately, I can't take a picture of it here - it's huddled somewhere in a corner, but I'll try to describe the signs:
1. Looks like a big mosquito.
2. The body of my individual is two and a half or three centimeters, if by eye. Hind legs - approximately three to four centimeters.
3. The wings themselves are light, but they have single black stripes.
4. The body is thin. The color seems to be black, but if you look at the sun, there is some kind of maroon tint.
5. The paws and muzzle have a clear burgundy hue.
6. It flies almost silently.
7. ATTENTION. The sting, which, by the way, is terribly disgusting, this creature has something like a hook. It is strongly bent up, actually looking at the sky.
Yes, I read that there are some "weevils", but after reviewing a lot of photos, I see that this is not my case - they are completely different, and mine is smaller. And even scarier. It's, you know, like a wasp sleeping with a scorpion, and then what happened was sleeping with a mosquito. That's what it looks like. I've also seen a lot of malarial mosquitoes - this is not it. Seriously.

I will be grateful for your answer.

26.07.2017 15:41, ИНО

Without a photo, of course, it is difficult to say with certainty, but the description painfully resembles a scorpioness, and a male one at that. What you (like many others) took for a sting, in fact, has a slightly different, guess what, purpose. This is a completely harmless insect for a person and it could only chase you and your cat around the apartment in a rampant imagination. By the way, "malarial mosquitoes" - anopheles - are hardly distinguishable from ordinary squeakers with the naked eye, but the inhabitants for the most part, for unknown reasons, consider such non-feeding tipulids and exterminate them mercilessly.

27.07.2017 15:00, guest: Андрей

ENO, thank you for your reply. I looked at the photos of the scorpion girl - well, close, close, it looks like, it looks like, although not completely. I did not notice such a terrible and oblong "beak" in an insect that flew into my house. Maybe I just didn't notice. It seems to have already died there, outside the window, but I won't open it yet - it's just pretending. I'll take a picture later.

About the fact that it couldn't race. I do not claim that it wanted to eat me and could have done it, but still the behavior of the insect was very strange and inappropriate - it flew literally an inch from the muzzle of my cat when it had the entire space of the room at its disposal, as if trying to sit on it to sting, and when I began to wave hysterically with its hands, as if trying to summon rain to drive away an incomprehensible monster, it actually flew up, and, swaying clumsily (this is how you can describe the flying style of this creature), it began to step on me, forgetting about the cat.

I also thank you for the short educational program. Useful. I didn't have much luck with insects, beetles, and spiders - I can't stand them. But I do not exterminate them either, including "malarial mosquitoes", which in fact are not malarial at all. Even the flies I try to politely escort to the exit-through the window, and not resort to the services of a fly swatter. Spiders in general cause me extreme horror, but with all this-Vasily lives in my kitchen. Spider Basil, of course. He doesn't touch me - I don't touch him. Harmony. Almost perfect spider.

Who has myopia-maybe. The color, size, and shape of the body are approximately the same, and a more detailed examination of such a trifle is already in my understanding work.

Zernovka beetle is a pest of bean and pea stocks. Check your storage bins. If you find anything - for release.

Hello! I haven't been home for two months, so I come and find my neighbors. I stayed up all night, watching where they were running. Really cockroaches!? Can you tell me who it is? I'm afraid to sleep." I found 10 pieces in two hours. Thank you in advance.

If everything is in order with the stocks, then it is quite possible that guests are straying from the street. It is ok.

Guys! What kind of insect did I have on the mezzanine? I saw how it was carrying material for construction on the mezzanine. It looks like a wasp, but paler and elongated. The legs are longer, like! There were only five cocoons. It looks like dirt and clay. cocoon contents and dimensions shown in the photo!
