Thank you so much for your reply. I searched for a long time and confused them with Badisters, and did not know what they eat, shas everything is clear...we have an elm tree next to the building and there are elm leaf eaters all season long. I'll try not to kill them shas) But it's just strange that I haven't met these ground beetles here before, I've only just started meeting them over the past year.

Guys please tell me what kind of beetle is this? It runs fast and flies, and is difficult to run over, having killed several of them at home. He loves the light, and goes out in the evenings and at night. Has anyone met this and is there any danger from them?

And in what parts did you collect them? In general, it looks more like Lebia scapularis (which is more interesting than cruxminor), and, I think, there might be those who would like to learn them here ) This species, by the way, just develops on the elm leaf beetle, and there were even attempts to use it to control this pest.

Probably so, thanks for the answer. Somehow these differences are all similar. I live in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Help! Who is it? There are a couple of such" jokes " in the bathroom running around in the corners... I found one on a sheet. I'm not sure it's a bug, because no one has bitten me yet.

Comrades, help us determine what kind of creature it is.
So I'm sitting here... In the merchant profile.
And with a wild buzzing sound, a fat fly begins to take off from the floor, barely slowly. I fell to the floor, crushed it, and a pile of red-pink liquid splashed onto the floor, looking like blood. On paper, only a small part.

Moscow, July.

Good day, we built a bathhouse (log house, roundwood, pine), cleaned up and wanted to start living but found worms on the tile. Who are they and how to deal with them?

I came across your forum by accident, so there will be no photo, no. In general, help identify the bug!
Bug, size ~3-5mm.
Flying.
The shape is similar to a half-ball, that is, it is quite convex and slightly less in height than in length, the body is one, without divisions-it looks like a ladybug, but that head is clearly distinguishable, this one is not and the size is less than 2-3 times, and when that spreads its wings-they are clearly visible, and this is not clear at all, the feeling as if the same protective wings (I do not know how they are called correctly) and waving.
Very dense shell, difficult to crush.
I didn't see any mustaches.
There are a lot of legs, I didn't really look at them, they don't protrude beyond the body, but I didn't see them crawling at all, only flying when they sit - it just looks like a small bump on a flat surface
.The color is dark brown.
Likes light (or heat-flies to the light of the monitor).
Appears (ONE! I've never seen the second one) once every six months or a year for at least a couple of years :/ The climate in the region is cold (9 months below 0), I would assume that it flies in from somewhere - but it's unlikely, it also appeared in winter at -40 :/ And in the distance from food and flowers (and there are almost none)
It doesn't make any sounds, at least not in so many years - I haven't heard it, I haven't seen it sitting somewhere, usually a hunt appears in front of the monitor and begins :/

I understand that without a photo it is difficult to determine, but here's how it is... For the query "small brown beetle of a semicircular shape with a hard shell" in Yandex, I don't see any similar images

Help me identify it. I saw it in the apartment, moving around the corridor.
As if not a cockroach... But maybe I brought something from a camping trip.

The beetle is about 2 centimeters long.

Hello, please tell me. In the house, which was renovated six months ago, they began to notice beetles on the floor, especially in the storage room on the attic floor. Gray, quite a lot, small 0.3-1 mm., I noticed that some of them seem to jump, the floor in the storeroom is concrete, not wet, the ceiling is made of OSB sheets, then insulation (roof).
I attach a photo (not very clear), as well as a video on YouTube, please tell me.
