The classic situation when using raw lumber... "Mustachioed" - flat purple barbel, small-coniferous four-point golden beetle.
Bigger and more "scary" barbels are coming soon...

I've got some black beetles in my house:so small, you will crush it starts to smell like a hand and then you will wash the figs, and they also have wings but they do not fly and by the way they look like ants , but they are very, very small and even when you start to catch it, it starts to run away quickly.
HELP US RECOGNIZE AND ETCH THEM.

For a diagnosis and recommendations for getting rid of it, you should at least take a photo of the object smile.gif

According to the description it looks like an OS from the Bethylidae family

Hello!
Please help me identify the insect.
Two months ago, these little beetles started running around the house, they have wings and they, respectively, fly, reach for the light, the window bulbs, the size is about 4 mm. I've never seen anything like it before. It's winter and they're coming from somewhere, because we're destroying them in large numbers.
Who they are, how to deal with them and where they come from, please tell me, they are already very tired!

Some kind of grain beetle Bruchidae. Conclusion: check food (cereals, etc.) for beetles and their larvae.

Thank you very much! And indeed, all these animals lived in an old bag of beans, where no one had looked for a long time.

Thank you very much! It was true that all these animals lived in an old bag of beans, where no one had looked for a long time.

No problem. This is most likely your pest: "Fasolevaya zernovka ". Read it.

This is what you need in the "definition of butterflies". Just do not forget to indicate where the cottage is located.

Comrades! I ask experts in this field, as I myself do not understand insects at all. This insect, which was photographed by me, was discovered by accident, leaves holes in the grout of tiles and presumably lives there. The size of the dark individual is about 0.5 mm to 1 mm, and the small transparent one is slightly smaller. Please tell us what it's called? and is it not harmful to humans?

These are hay eaters (Psocoptera). For human health, in general, they are not dangerous. Google it, you'll find a lot of information on the web. In addition, hay eaters have been discussed more than once on this forum in the topic http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtopic=339580 If you have time, look through it and read it.

Thank you very much! But for some reason I didn't find how to display it! Your "brother" writes everywhere that you can not touch them, but I would like to withdraw them once and for all!

27.01.2013 22:35, AGG

beautiful photos of beer.gifa hay eater let me be curious about what they did? especially "in nature=on the run"?
there is only one remedy-minimum humidity=maximum temperature+ventilation. now=in winter, it is easy to withdraw money if the room is tightly closed and there are heating batteries. their localization is usually limited, and from there they spread out, after a thorough drying, DO NOT WASH the floors, but just brush! just close the room for 2-3 days. you can put a heater there for a day, it will also help mad.gifthe creatures are essentially harmless, but aesthetics, books, dry insects, etc. animal objects, wallpaper, stocks of cereals, etc., allergy sufferers, children, etc. suffer, although people suffer only in extreme cases, but still it is better to lime this muck. good luck!

Thank you so much for your advice!

I shot a Nikon D90 with a Tamron SP CF Macro 35-80 f/2.8-3.8 lens.

This crap started up in our toilet after repairs, at first we thought that some dots were black, then we looked closer - an insect! We were shocked! It's like it's coming out of grout! I have a battery and forced ventilation! Dampness, of course, is also present! Still a toilet!!!! But we will try to warm it up more strongly!

And maybe this hay eater from the neighbors to crawl?, under us is not quite a clean alcoholic lives ((((

Help me identify the animal. About three weeks ago I caught the first one, then two more, I sin on flowers , as I take them at work, and we have direct deliveries from Holland, I can't assume any more, I haven't seen this before. Wings 4 pieces, one under the other, legs 3 pairs, the stinger is present, the size is about 1 cm.

Judging by the photo, this is some kind of Rider. Based on this, you should not sin on flowers.

Thank you, but how dangerous is their presence in the house?

In general, it is not dangerous: most of them are parasites of other insects. Live in peace.

Thank you very much, because their sting scared me. =)

Hello specialists. Help me identify it, it doesn't look like a bug. Sorry for the quality of the photo, poor lighting and poor zoom of the camera.

Larva of a skin-eating beetle.

Good day to all! Please help me identify the insects. The bug was caught back in 1989 in Ukraine in the Donetsk region., and then something three years earlier, also Donetsk region. it is desirable that the names were both Latin and Russian, if possible. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!

02.02.2013 17:37, okoem

it is desirable that the names are both Latin and Russian

The second insect is Machilis (Machilidae)
http://macroid.ru/showgallery.php?cat=11198

02.02.2013 17:58, botanque

Beetle-Odonteus armiger Scopoli, 1772 (mobile-horned dung beetle), male. Not a bad bug.

02.02.2013 18:14, hugoUN

And to whom should these Machilidae be attached? Who are they?

03.02.2013 2:43, Victor Titov

And to whom should these Machilidae be attached? Who are they?

And so it is - mahilis - the family Machilidae: primary wingless insects from the order Archaeognatha (Ancient Mandibular), systematically close to the bristle-tails that live in the wet places of our apartments.

Thank you all so much for the information! To be honest, I didn't refer Machilidae to beetles, so it was in the collection unattended. Tepr is an ancient bug.

05.02.2013 10:59, vasiliy-feoktistov

But Machilidae they've never been beetles: they're the same thing. Maxillary belong to, not to Bugs!

Do you need it? confused.gif What do you mean, Russian names? For many insects, they don't exist at all. Get used to it. Entomologists, and even just amateurs, should use Latin names. umnik.gif
