Sergey is right!

14.12.2012 1:40, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #16016

This one to move too along with its larva and pupa. :)

14.12.2012 1:16, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #16105

Caradrina wullschlegeli.

Caradrina wullschlegeli.

14.12.2012 1:09, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #13851

Ptycholoma imitator.

13.12.2012 22:49, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #16104

The same Caradrina sp.

13.12.2012 20:18, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #16106

You seem to be wrong, this is Caradrina.

13.12.2012 11:21, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on Nola emi

Right Nola emi (Inoue, 1956)

12.12.2012 21:06, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on Nola emi

Name of the species should be corrected.

12.12.2012 0:35, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #13729

This family can't be identified by underside photos. :(

11.12.2012 23:43, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #16016

:)

11.12.2012 22:55, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #16014

11.12.2012 22:49, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #16016

Not Acleris.

11.12.2012 20:00, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15917

I reckon the species is ID'ed wrongly, genus is right but the species is either pyramidea or berbera. Though the poor moth condition makes ID impossible.

11.12.2012 19:57, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15911

This species is identified correctly.

11.12.2012 19:56, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15912

Amphipyra perflua.

08.12.2012 23:04, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #10033

So it's just as easy to check out the website of Japanese lepidoptera and here we are, Cystidia stratonice.

08.12.2012 22:52, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #10033

This is Geometridae larva.

08.12.2012 22:17, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #14602

So isn't the photo moved to the species?

08.12.2012 19:54, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15824

I'm sorry, not Eumedonia eumedon (as it's named on here).

08.12.2012 19:51, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15824

Definitely not Aricia eumedon. Also where is this blue from? Please location.

07.12.2012 21:36, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #14602

Question closed. Phyllodes staudingeri.

07.12.2012 21:25, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #14602

Phyllodes imperialis or close to. Hind wings are quite doubtful.

06.12.2012 17:40, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15768

I'd say this is quite worn-out Coenonympha pamphilus. The butterfly is small as well as on the second photo. Though don't know Oeneis norna at all.

There are both dark and light ones, and Acosmeryx pseudonaga suits well this picture, though Acosmeryx anceus (Stoll, 1781), Acosmeryx shervillii (Boisduval, 1875), Acosmeryx omissa (Rothschild and Jordan, 1903), Acosmeryx pseudomissa (Mell, 1922) either shouldn't be excluded. The series shows they are different species. Gotta know what's the difference in appearance between them.

05.12.2012 20:37, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #14609

There are three very similar species in Malaysia http://www.lepbarcoding.org/sphingidae/species_checklists.php.

04.12.2012 19:42, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #5526

Even Yefetov couldn't identify this by such picture.

03.12.2012 21:58, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15562

Polyommatus thersites.

03.12.2012 14:34, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15717

To Lycaena dispar "uncertain", female.

03.12.2012 14:29, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15716

Lycaena virgaureae.

01.12.2012 15:20, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15563

Lythria cruentaria, to "uncertain", might be Lythria purpuraria.

01.12.2012 14:59, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15565

Pontia edusa.

01.12.2012 14:57, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15557

Coenonympha pamphilus.

30.11.2012 0:18, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15552

Seems like that.

29.11.2012 23:52, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15537

Might be widely spread Lithostege farinata, or some Asian like Lithostege narynensis (lean to the latter, clear white) from Kazakhstan as well. Or anything else?

23.11.2012 11:53, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #5509

I'm not talking but of the right one, checked out the left too, no versions, alas.

23.11.2012 0:44, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #5509

This is Oleria amalda too, just another subspecies.

22.11.2012 22:15, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #14610

Move this to "uncertain".

22.11.2012 21:52, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15223

An Ecuador subspecies Oleria amalda modesta (Haensch, 1903).

22.11.2012 21:19, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15223

Oleria amalda.

21.11.2012 20:10, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15140

Seems right!

21.11.2012 20:06, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15181

Helicoverpa armigera.

20.11.2012 2:10, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15174

Lythria purpuraria.

20.11.2012 2:05, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #15158

No, it's Noctuinae, Euxoa genus, species?

20.11.2012 1:59, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #4631

The moth is identified right. Lev, you happen to identify correctly even those species I wouldn't dare to without dissection, and at the same time you get confused by some evident ones.

16.11.2012 19:57, Alexandr Zhakov: comment on photo #6273

Rather difficult to dissect digital images. :) Opposed to count and compare genes. :)
