I put the migratory locusts and acrid in one container, only the locusts remained. The acridae were left with legs, elytra, and pronotum with heads. One acrid was alive, though the locusts had eaten its belly, wings, legs, and part of its head eek.gif.
Now we can officially consider that the migratory locust is omnivorous.

Here's another interesting thing, and this is just on the topic of the wasp, which supposedly I was ashamed not to know, although I just knew that there is a similar species there, unlike okodemiga, but that's it.. - from whom are the important academic arachnologists going to distinguish this tarantula? Even in our fauna I don't remember any similar ones confused.gif
There are certainly Mediterranean tarantulas, there are a lot of them, but in general they are also all different in appearance, and what did they forget there, in polar Yuzovka weep.gif
Pregrandis is actually an Asian species, a typical tarantula in Kazakhstan, it is almost used to polar frosts, but still it needs high temperatures in summer and autumn to develop.

And did not that similar species sail in full force from Ukraine to its native harborconfused.gif, where did the pan have confidence that it exists in Mykolaiv region? Here we have none.

Well, you never know what other liquors, unknown to the VNA, can be in Donetsk? Maybe a new species altogether. So you always need an instance. And today I still got, and not only the female, but also the male. True, the male is no longer a cake, and the female is clearly immature, only 24 mm in body, and in the span of her legs is significantly inferior to the male. So the prospects for breeding are vague. But can a highly experienced tarantulologist still deign to share a description of the conditions of detention?

When we studied the reasons why a flock of locusts moves, it turned out that the main one is cannibalism. Whoever slows down gets eaten by those running behind. True, it was tested on some other locust species, but it is unlikely that this principle is very different for all schooling species. Here, though a single phase, but the instinct of predation takes its toll.

Here's my pair. By the way, the female is the same as last time I took a picture - one leg is missing. And I found Nora. The burrow was made in a crack in the ground, without the slightest hint of cobwebs. Still, the method of searching for lycosides by light reflected from tapetum is cool. If she'd been sitting there during the day, I'd never have found her. And so a little shone-and it's ready. But, I must say, most of the received signals were false - small wolf spiders shine their eyes no weaker than tarantulas. I even took them for pregrandis juveniles at first (the color is quite similar), but then I saw how these 5-millimeter spiders mate eek.gif

I also witnessed an abnormal phenomenon again: the brightest spot of light darted across the grass, cut my eyes unpleasantly, and disappeared in an instant. Already searched the sky for UFOs. But most likely, some idiot shot a laser at me from several kilometers away.

Well, as I understand it, there are no proofs that the hole is exactly her, even if she got out of there, she could just sit there, the pregrandis have quite a hole, there really aren't many cobwebs at the entrance, but there are.
And judging by the male, he is already sexually mature.

Yes, the stump is clear that it is half-ripe, but it seemed to me that it had already begun to prepare for the ground ,because the abdomen was wrinkled. But no, after I sharpened the shovel, everything was fine. I guess I was just hungry and dehydrated. So there is hope.

It is very significant that Pan naturalizd refused to share information on the maintenance and breeding of these tarantulas. Mind you, this is not a matter of my prestige or profit, but of the life and death of dumb creatures. But the joyful anticipation of the death of a neighbor's cow is a typical feature of true Ukr, and somehow helping it out is a terrible sin in the face of Bandera's godsumnik.gif. But nothing, God willing - I'll do without panov's advice.

It is possible that the food is different for each individual or for individuals of a certain area.
For example, not every grasshopper will eat buckwheat porridge/cockroaches/jumps/vegetables and fruits. You catch one and he eats everything, the other one eats something, and someone refuses to eat.
Even leafhoppers have given up on blackberries, while others haven't.
Here the nationality of insects is to blame)
The midge seller refused to give me a recipe for a nutrient mixture (then he gave it to me due to special circumstances).
Kapets divorced melanogaster, and Hideya will probably die out.

Good tarantulas, eat scoops jump.gif

07.08.2020 15:34, ИНО

Alex, why do you think that? Drosophila, unlike leafhoppers, are not monophages, and can feed on a wide range of media, including liquid ones. I didn't feed grasshoppers porridge, but all living things that were at least half their size and without a very hard shell, my tettigonias always ate with a bang.

The male tarantula stopped eating the scoop, the female continues, the belly has become even larger. I hope that after the molt, it will become very large in one fell swoop, otherwise something doesn't really justify the name yet.

And Pan Bandera again phallomorfiruet weep.gif

If you give a pineapple a large pot, then during the warm period it will outgrow the room, and during the cold period it will rot.

We have the beginning of autumn, soon there will be no insects left.
I don't have many cockroaches, and the crickets aren't breeding yet. Melanogaster reproduces well.
I don't bring it out yet, I'm afraid they'll starve to death.

13.08.2020 15:44, Hierophis

We were attacked by the ZHPZ redface.gif
This morning it was +17, and in the afternoon it feels not much higher than +20. After the life-giving +39, although it was one day, +20 is a cooling of almost 20 degrees!
And the coldest day will probably be tomorrow.

I have to state a sad fact: we have run out of apricotsweep.gif, and despite the fact that so many of them were deformed this year that it was impossible to walk a hundred meters in any direction without entering, in view of being busy with other things, I did not collect very much and did not even preserve anything. The coolest and most productive trees by the time I came to collect a dozen or two kilograms of tinting were already surrounded. This year, the people of Derbanil them with such activity as never before.

We don't have any ripe fruit, for example.
I haven't eaten apricot yet.
There were once peaches and a couple of times ripe nectarines. All the shops are packed with green fruit.

14.08.2020 10:10, ИНО

Rather than "haven't eaten yet", but "haven't eaten yet"weep.gif, where do you get apricots now, even if they are practically gone, not to mention the Kuban and Central Asia? Figs with them, with these shops, but do you really not have a market with hachami?

16.08.2020 19:37, alex017

Lucky for nectarines two more times!
Yes, there are markets, but there the ripeness of fruit is about the same as in the store, the range is wider.
It happens that ripe fruit in the store at the time of opening in the morning is bought up by merchants and sold at a higher price.
Nectarines in the store 100r, and the merchants on the street from 120 to 200r. It's the same with melons: merchants have +20 rubles per kg from the price in the store.
There is also a circumstance: when should I run around the markets? I work all the time, and then I sit down, I barely have time to maintain an acceptable state, I don't have enough time for anything. Some of the raspberries were knocked down by the rain, it was so pathetic. My wife works in a nearby village, and the markets and street vendors no longer work when we are at home.
Today I took out one ooteka from the refrigerator.
It has been raining since Friday evening, +12.

Some cheap nectarines you have there, we have them consistently at 3.5 pupaars per kg. The first time I recently tried what it is, the taste is very similar to our local peaches, I didn't even expect it, I thought it would be something cloying, but still the taste is not the same, there is no freshness and juiciness, which is suspicious-very loose and even airy structure, you can see they were ripe for transportation or storage.
In general, our peaches at 80 cents per kg are many times better than this thing jump.gif
I've only ever bought apricots once, cali at $ 3 per kg, everything is covered in scab, such dumb things, but apricots taste like apricots. But I love stepovye dichki, and they all froze frown.gifAlthough there were apricots in the courtyards of the city, but I don't collect apricots in the courtyards, ugh)
