Woodlice are also very unpleasant, they fly in a large flock, climb under clothes, bite painfully and then the whole skin itches. But, unfortunately, they are active only for a few days and only in some biotopes. But I don't recall any midge attacks. Although we have a lot of species that are studied closely at the university. And mosquitoes, of course, probably only the driest deserts don't have them. There aren't many Ixodes in Donetsk, although a tiny male did bite me once. There are a lot more of them in the Donets floodplain, where I was once chewed by a hefty female, which turned out to be very problematic to pull out. And in the steppe there are many dermocentors, but they are human, it seems. they don't bite. And the most terrible mite of the temperate zone of Europe, this is obviously - hyaloma. In the Crimea, I once took a couple of steps on the tall grass, and after a few minutes I feel something moving in my socks, and there are already two or three of them, I don't remember exactly, and each one is the size of a soldier bug, it's hungry. And then I saw the well-fed ones in alcohol-the size of a large grape.

And the next day, everything is exactly the same.

Another anomaly: the day before yesterday, the whole day was +2, cloudy, windy, in general, winter is the most real. Yesterday morning it was again +2, but already sunny. And by noon it's already +16! And this afternoon it was already +18, while the wind finally subsided in the afternoon and the clouds disappeared, that is, in fact, in less than two days (or even one and a half), the transition from phenological winter to phenological summer took place. Insects that have been languishing in shelters for a long time took it as a shot of the starting gun flew-ran with a terrible force in all its variety, just an explosion of some kind of life!
