Probably looking for them in the wrong grass. And parasinema is a new animal for Tsimlyansk, or did we have it at the beginning of the century?
We had +24 during the day.

17.10.2018 20:09, Hierophis

We had +25 jump.gif
And so how do I know if it is a new or known species for you, you need to ask your scientists or correspondingly. articles searchable

17.10.2018 20:14, NIKITA TIMOSHEV

It may be a new species that has crept unnoticed to us in Tsimlyansk. And the vegetation where you need to look for this species, I met on the Kumshak River only in some places.
I also remember a long swamp that is about to dry up next summer. And where it had already dried up,reeds grew. This is on a sandy mountain (quarry). And there in the reeds I was looking for parasinem, but I didn't find it.I only met locusts there, for example, I caught a female locust of a single phase 75 mm long with wings nearby.More locusts in large quantities. There I caught a male acrid 52 mm long with wings.
And Celes variabillis in what vegetation to look for?

17.10.2018 21:35, Hierophis

Celes variabillis we have only seen where the virgin steppe, where grasshopper, wormwood and tipchak, in general, you need to look for virgin land ) We have a lot of such fillies, but only in the steppe, even near the steppe where there are disturbed places, they are not present.

And once there was a male parasinema, then the females are definitely there)) You need to search, they hide very well and don't always jump.

18.10.2018 7:39, NIKITA TIMOSHEV

I met Celes variabillis in the north of the Tsimlyansky district in the steppe near the village of Kalinenskaya. There must have been a virgin steppe there. There were also red-winged fillies, and Acrotylus insubricus on the shore.

I went to Balka on Friday to take a picture of the yolks, but there were practically no yolks in Balka. But they were along the highway, between the road and the field. There were simply more flowers: hawkweed, chicory, and alfalfa. A lot of things have dried up in the beam. But something also bloomed.

Look, they're probably afraid of you ) At least those that are in the beam, because in our beams there are just a lot of yolks, they lead round dances there, and they are very different at least in freshness-from bright yellow and rich white, to frayed and translucent. Thousands of them smile.gif
Maybe, if you're lucky, it will be as it was in 2000, when I saw the yellow egg in early December! It's a pity there are no pictures left, well, maybe there will be new ones)

It's true-they're afraid of me. But the yolks themselves are usually restless and timid. Lemongrass butterflies are larger than the rest, but they fly more slowly and in a more straight line. Cabbage plants, hawthorns are not so shy, edus are also more loyal to people. So there in the gully, the yolks (2-3 pieces I saw) mostly huddled against the slope of the gully (this often happens in autumn and spring, when it's cool - all the animals gather on open, Sun-warmed slopes, as well as fire-prevention plowing strips). But I also had meetings with calmer yolks-these are 2007 and 2010. In those years, there was a raid of jaundice in the city on flower beds. I remember that in the last days of October 2007, you could catch them with your hands. And now I go specially sometimes in the afternoon, I inspect flower beds in the city - either they are not there, or 1 of some kind. But the freshest Edus fly.

Oh, and one more thing. So far, alfacariensis is mostly found in the gullies. Two Colias crocea seen among the sands and pine forests in the city 13.10-shy, flew away. But at the end of October 2007, it was a raid of Colias crocea.

Dear colleagues! I'm not quite sure if my question is appropriate for this section. But still. Can we expect to find beetles, millipedes and haymakers from mid-November to early December in Northern Kazakhstan, Kostanay? At least under the bark and in the litter. I don't know if it's too cold at this time and the snow cover is too heavy.

29.10.2018 10:00, Hierophis

There are already frosts in that region, and by the time you arrive, the joint venture will probably no longer be small. A friend somehow managed to live in Astana for a year, so there is such a winter that Oymyakon is resting smile.gifSo probably only under the bark, if it will be there)

10.11.2018 21:56, Wave Storm

I do not know as in the Nikolaev area, and at us year dry any turns out. That in the spring it was dry all April, in May only 1 good rain and one barely reaching the average, that now at the end of September a few rains have passed, and that's all. The temperatures seem to be the same as usual. And the invasion of jaundice in the city this year was not. (

Indeed, this year there were two absolute records for drought in Kherson, and we have here too - this is April and August, but there was a lot of precipitation to the north. We still have a lot of yolks, in the city of ka k-I don't know, I don't go to such terrible places )) and in more or less natural places - thousands of them)

10.11.2018 23:32, Hierophis

Here I was climbing Sednya in the evening along the forest belts-I found exactly two, or even three species of wingless female moths at once tongue.gif jump.gif

A homemade megafonarik of course steers, they said that from a distance it was clear that the tops of trees in the landing were burning within a radius of 100 meters)) And the butterflies themselves were visible on the trees for 10 meters, until the fog rolled in)

And where is the most common vegetation in which to look for parasinema?

Under the snow )))
Along the banks of rivers and ponds, I posted a photo here, this is sedge, and in general Nikita, look for a female parasinema where the male found, as they say, there is no smoke without fire and the male without a female smile.gif

15.11.2018 10:45, alex017

Zimets came to us. It's not snowing yet. The frost was up to -12. During the day and in the sun does not let go.
At the end of autumn, before the onset of negative temperatures, it rained very heavily.
In the garden, the ground water came under the ground level, while in August at a depth of one meter it was absolutely dry. And I, after listening to the advice of experienced gardeners, decided to dig a temporary well, which is needed to intercept water before turning on the water supply, in October. Well, I only got to 1.75 m, I couldn't go any further, the pump didn't help, it flooded instantly. The water in the well is exactly on the ground level. Eh, where is this drought?!
Now hibernate until spring
