Here you can already not look at the temperature forecast, you can give a forecast from the lantern for tomorrow, in a week, two or a month, or two-in the afternoon it will be +30 or higher, and in the morning +20 or higher - you can't make a mistake)
I don't know, I don't know, the forecast says a cold snap of yes +20 on the weekend.
And Alex's greenhouse is even better than in Nikolaev. Daylight saving time is longer )

19.06.2018 19:09, Hierophis

Not well, of course, since Alex has tropics at home at all, then why does he need a street summer at all)
A cold snap is really expected, but it seems that we will have one day with a temperature of about +20 in the afternoon. in Kiev, of course, it will be cold longer.
And we have but recently vooot such a thunderstorm was!!))

It is impossible to shoot animals on the ground, because sometimes the background is good, and the animals themselves are blurred in the photo.
And I wonder what kind of locust I have on 3 photos?
As of July 19, they are transmitting +41 eek.gif.

Well, you need to somehow manage to get the focus on the grasshopper and not on the background)
And on the third photo-I was identified today as cntgysv rjymrjv-Euchorthippus pulvinatus.

Yes, some cameras have this problem. You need to turn on the "macro" mode, sometimes it helps. If not, then IMHO only in the hands. A caterpillar, etc. can be planted on a leaf, but a grasshopper will run away.

21.06.2018 9:27, NIKITA TIMOSHEV

What if the locust on the 3rd photo is a representative of the species Ochrilidia hebetata? In our sandy areas, such locusts from Kazakhstan may well be found.
We still have +32.

22.06.2018 13:42, NIKITA TIMOSHEV

Yesterday it was +37 and I went to Yegorino's place. And today it's also +37,but this time I went to the field next to the former wheat field.
In that field, I found a predimago of a migratory locust, a female of a single stage and green color.2 more dybki, the first yellow, imago, the second orange-brown, predimago.I also found a female Metrioptera bicolor (f. macroptera).
And photos from Yegorina's place at the bottom. wink.gif
And I went to the field today to find Gampsocleis schelcovnikovae.

I didn't hear a single cicada today, but it was me who was on the canal and in the vicinity of the city near the dachas and the irrigation canal. I found only one swallowtail, slightly cooked, but more podalirii, all fresh, I also observed the laying of eggs by a female.

24.06.2018 22:19, Hierophis

Well, the steppe is full of cicadas, and swallowtails with podaliriyami and galatea was full)

24.06.2018 22:40, NIKITA TIMOSHEV

We also have plenty of cicadas.I was in that field near the wheat field, and there the cicadas chirped very stunningly! But then I got an Italian prus 4 centimeters long and saw a bunch of praying mantises. wink.gif

25.06.2018 6:26, alex017

Well, yesterday we had +30...+31. Saw a grasshopper probably the second molt

25.06.2018 10:30, Decticus

And where are the pictures of Albifrons?
We had +37.
Today I went to Yegorino's place, but there was no camera. The Akrids are already there before. On the way back, I climbed in a grassy area near the entrances, found there two predimago albifrons, a female and a male.
But the albifrons will have their imagos in a few days.
I also went to a place near a former wheat field this evening. There I found a jump of gray and long-winged, and its length from the tip of the head to the tip of the wings is 40 mm.Then I drove on.Then two turns to the northeast and east.I went east.Ahead was a green wheat field, where I found two black-banded fillies (Oedalius decorus), and many more prusses. Then I went north, and there are three tracks, two along a big yellow wheat field, and one through it.I didn't see any locusts. But there are a lot of large prusses and a yellow long-winged female glabra. wink.gif
Then I drove back, stopped near a green wheat field, and decided to look for gray horse races and large purses in the yellowed grass.I caught a few long-winged gray jumps and a yellow-colored prus. smile.gif

Albifrons in thorns usually live with us, I didn't take a picture, but I wanted to)
By the way, I saw locusts on my last walk, but they flew away . I couldn't take a picture, it was as big as a tetragonia!
We have a lot of black-banded fillies in the steppe, as well as ameles and crickets, and the tettigonias are already chirping even in the morning and afternoon.

25.06.2018 22:21, NIKITA TIMOSHEV

There are a lot of albifrons on the Nikitin pit and they will soon be molting in imago there.
Locusts are easy to catch if they are under the grass. And in open spaces, it is difficult to catch it.
Black-banded fillies are found in huge numbers at Yegorino place.

26.06.2018 13:33, NIKITA TIMOSHEV

We still have +38 in the shade! jump.gif jump.gif jump.gif
I went to that green wheat field again, but first I went to the edge of the former wheat field. There I caught 2 locusts,a light green female and a brown male with a dark top of the pronotum and on the back of the head. The length of the female with wings is 70 mm.a male with wings of 58 mm.The male was caught with difficulty, the female without much difficulty.

26.06.2018 16:58, Decticus

+ 25. Roselle's metriopters sang in the tall grass. I didn't go in there. Part of the clearing is mown and there they were too, mostly predimago and fillies.

In the afternoon I went to Nikitin pit, caught two real Dociostaurus maroccanus, and in the south I met Sphingonotus caerulans, prus and black-striped fillies.
I also went to Yegorin's place, heard albifrons, saw two, caught one.The second one flew off somewhere. wink.gif
