hello! help me determine!
I don't even understand how to determine this. Externally, the shape is very similar to a scorpion. but without the sting. The front paws are very long, folded, with pincers. the second pair of " paws "(outside the photo) is a very long thin mustache - he moves them at the tips. Mustache length is approximately 15cm. The size of the "determined" is approximately 7-10 cm

Hello! Please help me determine the type of Vine from the Nemopteridae family.
[/quote]picture: Lertha_ledereri__Goravan__2013.06.12.jpg
The species was found in Armenia; according to the literature, Lertha extensa (Olivier, 1811) and Lertha ledereri (Sélys-Longchamps, 1866) are found in Armenia. In the image, the view is definitely not L. extensa. It doesn't look like L. ledereri from the standard description either. Lertha sheppardi (Kirby, 1904) does not appear to be a close species either. I was too tired to calculate it, can anyone help?
Thank you in advance.

Gryllotalpidae (Latin: Gryllotalpidae) is a family of large burrowing insects of the order erect — winged. Representatives of the family reach a size of 5-8 cm, lead an underground lifestyle, and live in burrows dug by them.
About 100 species. Distributed all over the world.

In the modern fauna, there are 2 subfamilies (or in the rank of tribes) with 6 genera, another 1 subfamily and 5 genera are fossils. Fossils are known from the Oligocene of Europe and the Cretaceous of South America[

Dear members of the section, help us identify this miracle-wonderful wonder-wonderful. From 2 neighboring departments were sent here. Aphids, bedbugs? What a larva, at least approximately.

The length is about 6-8 mm. We flocked in the evening under the lamp. The color is somewhat distorted: the animal is whiter, the blue is almost invisible.

Good afternoon, tell me what kind of insect it is. Photographed 3 weeks ago, indoors, Rostov region. The length of insects is approximately 3 cm. They were in a large cardboard disposable coffee cup.

I can't upload an image to the forum, link http://i57.fastpic.ru/big/2013/1121/3f/3e5...f89da9923f.jpeg

So huge? And black? In addition, he was not fast, and as far as I remember, cockroaches run very fast.

Winter stranger...

Today (04.01.14) during a walk through the winter forest in the Moscow region (Moose Island), my daughter noticed a creepy insect in the snow, similar to a blood-sucking bug with very long legs. At first they thought it was a spider. It was slowly moving, despite the rather low temperature for insects - about +2°C. I took photos in macro mode. The actual size of the bug is about 5 mm.

Help me identify it

Probably something from the snow gnats - Tipulidae or Limoniidae.

The quality of the photo does not stand up to any criticism, but I bought it for cheeto, and I sell it for that.
It seems like these boogers in large numbers bit guests in a hotel in Malaysia.
Bitten friends will be happy for any reliable versions wink.gif

Help us determine what kind of individual it is. Filmed in Latvia.
And why not in the definition of hymenoptera?

An interesting bee... So far, I don't know/haven't met with such metallic-green ones for Europe, I would even suggest someone American(?). But I am only an amateur, so it would also be interesting to know the opinion of an expert...

I am tormented by the question, what is this genus or species of ascalaf? Maybe someone knows?

I found it recently on the island of Borneo near the Kinobatangan River (Sukau).
The Askalafs are very beautiful, but they are so rare to me.

Almost always in the thaw I meet live crawling insects and spiders in the snow. Help me identify the ones in the images. All images taken in the vicinity of Bryansk, 2385, 2446, 2456-last decade of December, 3415, 3416, 3421, 3422 - 9 February. I've often seen some jumping insects before, but I haven't seen them yet this winter.
