I apologize for the untimely answer shuffle.gif, after all, according to the signs, this is Acantholyda posticalis and, in my opinion, it just sits with its probes hanging down. At least in the adult state, pamphylids do not seem to gnaw the tops, I can assume that it peels off the young branches and feeds on juice, as I observed in Dolerus... In general, I can't say much about the nutrition of adults, because I wasn't particularly interested in it

Arkhangelsk region. End of June.
Last year, our forest lodge, a vacation spot, was attacked by hornets (decided on this forum). This year there is a new attack. I ask for help in determining. The most important thing for me is: how aggressive is this insect, is the bite dangerous (if it bites at all). I.e. is it worth being afraid of close contact? They fly into the house, very unnerving.
This is as far as I understand a female (not inferior in size to a hornet)

And a male (as it seems to me, since the size is much smaller)

The first photo shows Cimbex femoratus, while the other two show male Trichiosoma sp. Lucky for you smile.gif, I wish they'd fly into my house like this!

I brought this male Pheidole from Crete. I'm not claiming that yours is also a Pheidole, but it looks like it. The size was about 4 mm, if memory serves. We flew in late June and early July.
My page about ants of Crete is here:

On the right, it looks like an earthen one, on the left, it looks like a garden one, but this is all just as possible (most likely) options. This color is typical for these species, but it can also be found in others.
PS. Bumblebee has more stripes on the left, see the border of the chest and abdomen - they just burned out.

I don't think anyone here will help with the Turkish ants. I'm afraid there are no such specialists here. There are at least two dozen species of messors in Turkey alone. I can't help you personally.

Thank you very much. And then zadolbali, one at home in the closet nest began to build, now the second at work.
I don't like wasps at all. If you don't mind, can you also tell me how they interact with a person? Can they sting, how painful is it? I searched the Internet, only the description of species is everywhere.

It can sting, but only if it is pressed down, single wasps save their venom. The bite feels slightly stronger than a mosquito bite, but there is always a chance that an allergic reaction will occur.

Hmm, and the answer to the second question may be simple - her time is running out. Worker bees are not eternal (in summer 2-4 months at most).

Just possible options. Maybe the bee is young, but it's sick with something. Or maybe the years are really taking their toll. Or maybe something else.
Pu Si looked at the photo again. The bee looks young (subjective impression). Older people are usually more raggedy

Ruderarius seems to disappear - there are no red hairs on the hind legs, rupestris-too.
But males of Lapidarius should have yellow hairs between their eyes, which you can't tell from the photo.
