I was guided by the sign I indicated - the color of the notch of the inner orbits of the eyes - in all the D. media I saw, they are completely yellow, while in D. sylvestris they are yellow only in the lower part.

And what about the yellow spot on the side of the breast (on the epistle?)? The absence of this yellow spot in media is indicated as a diagnostic sign (Episternum black with no yellow spots) here:
http://www.eakringbirds.com/eakringbirds2/...ntification.htm
However, I can't say anything about the authors...

No wing structure - guesses - don't want to build

No wing structure - guesses - don't want to build one

I wouldn't mind wing venation either, but as a suggestion:
The second is probably Megachile sp.
And the first one is probably some kind of Andrena. Since it's on legume flowers in the photo, something like Andrena labialis (Kirby, 1802)

Or am I being stupid?

The fact that the second one is a megahile - there is no dispute! The first more interesting animal! For pure andrena-bribes on the big foot...... And she is naked))))

And the options? Given that the bee is on legumes?
It is basically similar to Andrena labialis. But I will consider other options with interest.

I understand everything. smile.gif
As they say-what is. On a sunny summer afternoon, it is difficult (if at all possible) to take an adequate picture of a bee (or any other insect) for a more or less accurate determination. Everyone's at work, running around like crazy. And the breeze was not weak that day. And in the early morning you will find figs. smile.gif
In this case, the definition of the genus-family is already
not bad. P. S. The first one is on Russian broom, the second one is on lupine. Deforestation of mixed pine forests, sandy soils. Nearby is a small forest stream with peaty soil.

Very interesting glitter!
I Googled it and found this:
1. Chrysis equestris
http://www.chrysis.net/database/chr_scheda...rysis_equestris
http://www.forum.hymis.de/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=8634
There are similar pictures and Chrysis fasciata
I'm an amateur, and therefore it's up to the author!
P.S. The Macroid has one similar one, but without a name (http://macroid.ru/showphoto.php?photo=90987)
We need to replenish the database! smile.gif

I think it's a male formica ant. It would be nice to take a look from another angle.

Hello, at different times on kedriki I saw such different comrades...I don't know who they are, but I suspect that flying companions with "orange heads"=) are entomophages because I still saw them on pears , then the pears were covered with weevils and their ants inhabited them with aphids.

Comrades with orange heads are not entomophages, but quite the opposite-pine pests-Acantholyda erythrocephala.
