Can you tell me, please, who is it that "filled up" the cicada?

Sphecius conicus is.
Stizus don't catch cicadas, they need mantises and fillies.

I'm terribly sorry, I was stuck for the second time, I wanted to say that, most likely, this is Sphecius antennatus (Klug, 1845), but I wrote something completely different.

What kind of camponotuses?
They live in Tae in my bathroom. April.
There is a chance that during the summer I will be able to catch a queen from the colony that lives with me? They have an anthill in a drain hole on the floor.

In the southern species is not strong. I can't tell you the view. If the queen is needed to create a "home" anthill, then it is necessary to catch her when she throws off her wings after the wedding summer. The female caught in this way should be put in an incubator. It's useless to catch a winged one. For more information, visit the Ant Lovers Club website www.antclub.org

I dipped my finger in honey and fed them by hand ) I think they even remembered me and sniffed out the sweet things around me. I watch them like they're on TV for a long time. I wonder how they communicate, sniff, and do troffalaxis.
It seems that these are either vaguses or hercules, similar to both

I am glad that you enjoy communicating with ants. This is actually a very exciting activity. Even more interesting (in my opinion) than communicating with fish in an aquarium. In the photo, not vaguses (vaguses are completely black and matte) and not herculeanuses. This is some kind of southern species that is not found in Russia.

1-three variants: male Odynerus spinipes, Odynerus alpinus or Gymnomerus laevipes scandinavus...
2-Similar to Symmorphus, but the longitudinal furrow on the first tergum is not visible, so not Symmorphus, but Ancistrocerus, so most likely the female is Ancistrocerus trifasciatus (he is the only one so slender).

And what kind of wasp is this, at first I thought it was a "normal" Latibulus argiolus, but then I looked at the pictures on the network, so there seem to be differences. Maybe some other kind? Maybe there are several types of them, each for a specific type of polysts? smile.gif

What makes you think this rider has something to do with the polists? Confused by the yellow stripes? This is a representative of the tribe Banchini (Ichneumonidae, Banchinae), some southern species, unknown to me. From the photo, you can't really make out if there is a spike on the shield - in this case, it's Banchus sp. (most likely), or Banchopsis crassicornis, which should have a dark spot on the apex of the forewing that is not visible in the image. If not, it may also be, for example, Rynchobanchus sp. (in "green" there is an error in spelling the generic name and not all species are included).

26.04.2013 16:27, Hierophis

IchMan, well, the first thing I thought when I saw this rider was that it was Latibulus argiolus, or maybe some other species. We just talked about it recently.
But of course, I immediately doubted this when I just looked at the pictures of argiolus on the network. And there don't seem to be any similar species in biology.

Most similar to Banchus pictus, parasitizes on caterpillars, thank you! smile.gif
