Thank you, and something comes across me in a watery place and all confused. Sincerely, Vasily. jump.gif

But I found Nivellia sanguinosa only once in my Yaroslavl region (in the Borisoglebsky district, I caught it on the fly). It is local and rare in our country.

2-Callidium violaceum
3-Monochamus sp.
4-scarabs in the Astral region 2 species (correct if more). S. typhon is more common, but S. pius can also be typed if desired. You can't tell from this photo. In general, it is desirable to pull the genitals out of their males.

Please help me ... with scarabs from the Astrakhan region.

There are really two of them and they differ relatively easily.
S. typhon-the upper lobe of the eyes is large and oval, the keel between the platypus and the head is sharper, angular, widely interrupted in the middle and forms b. m. distinct tubercles. In the Astrakhan region, mass.
S. pius - the upper lobe of the eyes is small, angular, the keel between the platypus and the head is smoothed, without sharp tubercles. It's less common.
picture: typhon_pius.jpg
Try to see for yourself - you have more than one - you can compare them.

Still, in my opinion, S. pius is on average smaller and with a more delicate upper sculpture.

Just want to clarify.
Is this Nivellia sanguinosa Gyllenhal, 1827? Or I'm wrong. The bug was caught on 18.06.2008 here:
M. O. Sergiev Posad district of okr. der. Golkovo, on the flowers of scabiosa.

I'm deleting the photo. Posted here: http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtop...=0&#entry944887

It is impossible to identify this leaf beetle. Maybe someone knows what it's called?

Dina, there is an opinion that this is Hemipyxis sp.

I agree, but the sizes vary a lot.

25.09.2009 13:52, amara

Please tell me if it is similar to Agabus guttatus (or biguttatus). Or even Ilibius guttiger (although unlikely) I shot it live and let it go.
Yes, most importantly, they live in a spring that comes to the surface, the water is always about 13 degrees, and they are active from early spring to October.

As it is, yes, betoulaye. I apologize to Fornaxrolleyes.gif, but at first I thought it was populi. In any case, an interesting colored copy - I personally have not yet met blue ones here. smile.gif The color of the bottom also seems to be slightly different from the top.
