What is the difference between Onthophagus taurus and Onthophagus illyricus? Can they occur at the same point?

They can even occur in the same "heap", tested on Zap. Ukraine. Differences - in Kabakov's book "Plates of the subfamily Scarabaeinae of the fauna of Russia and adjacent states"
Main differences: taurus-the elytra are glabrous in the middle, with simple small dots in the aisles, the head and prsp och. rarely with a metallic sheen. Usually black or pitch-black.
illyricus-elytra completely covered with sparse hairs, aisles with rows of small rasp-like dots. Head and prsp with a bronze or greenish tint. Nodules are light brown.

I collected taurus and illyricus on the same pile. Thank you for your clarification! Just some taurus caught with a faint metallic sheen of the head and pronotum (as you wrote!).

The most interesting thing is that there were short-horned males and males similar to the female who do not have horns , but bumps.

Well, it happens, and often. I have such copies from Abkhazia and Crimea.

Well, Aegomorphus obscurior, judging by the photo, is unlikely. Still 99.9% color - Aegomorphus clavipes.
