help to bring at least to the kind)

Tatarstan Rep., near Kazan, an old cluttered pine forest with birch, dense undergrowth, not far from the lake, on a clearing in the shade, on a pine trunk cut down last year. length 2.9 mm. 11. V. 2010

19.05.2011 21:14, Bad Den

Ummm.... Ciidae?

19.05.2011 21:24, Cryphalus

with such antennae as just the same bark beetle. that's just what it is. like Ipinae, and which of them is so elevated prsp., and did not find. and it seems like the head is visible from above? xylophage specialists would do well to respond, since there is a lot of material

The theme is called Elizar smile.gif

And here I am...
No other photos? Preferably the front part is large, and the end of the elytra is also large. I don't remember anything like this right away, and the "slap" on the front edge of the pronotum is very confusing. Is it dirt or tar???

20.05.2011 7:42, akulich-sibiria

What's the size?the structure of the elytra is more similar to the male Orthotomicus suturalis, the number of teeth on the wheelbarrow is poorly visible, and they are located along the edges of the wheelbarrow, possibly O. proximus and there are no other photos?

20.05.2011 13:48, Cryphalus

Ortothomicus suturalis (c) Klemin D. A.
picture: 2.jpg
Ortothomicus proximus (c) Klemin D. A.
picture: 3.jpg
Ortothomicus laricis (c) Klemin D. A.

For comparison, Ortothomicus suturalis, O. proximus, and O. laricis caught there are also examples. the difference from all of them, in addition to this patch: the beetle has a lacquer-black gloss, on the mattress it stood out in black, and the back half of the prsp. is very smooth. and from the patch it seems that the hairs grow and it was not possible to separate it. by depressing the ndcr. there are 2 prongs on top, and another one in the corner at the bottom. Are there any modern determinants besides green and fauna?

well, in the first picture of O. suturalis, it looks like a female..And in the photo that we define the male, if there are 3 teeth, then I think it's still O. suturalis male. moreover, the ratio of the distances between the 1st and 2nd teeth and the distance between the first teeth is suitable. The last word for Elizar ))

20.05.2011 19:05, akulich-sibiria

what size is it?

20.05.2011 19:39, Cryphalus

there above is the same length 2.9. lan run on the DV.
just wondering yet, which of the bark beetles can have such a formation on prsp.

20.05.2011 20:01, Bad Den

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't see it. Still, I think this is a male O. suturalis, and a patch, this is some kind of defect

No, some Cucujoidea (Cucujoidea)....

21.05.2011 19:56, akulich-sibiria

and this is not a case of monotomids (Monotomidae, = Rhizophagidae), phylum Rhizophagus
fam. Cucujidae without " o " there looks like ochepyatka )))

21.05.2011 23:58, Triplaxxx

Although the photos are not very good, but most likely it is Rhizophagus (s. str.) ferrugineus (Paykull, 1800) .

22.05.2011 1:31, Aaata

.. sem. Cucujidae without " o " there looks like ochepyatka )))

No, it's written correctly, because it's not a family, but a superfamily-it's always written with an " o "and ends with"..oidea".
