Well, it's easier to shoot yourself here. But if you want to spend an hour or two, you can try to search for Arnoldi's work "Weevils of the genus Otiorrhynchus (Curculionidae) of the fauna of Mongolia and neighboring regions of the USSR". But even this does not give a 100% guarantee, especially since the work is already outdated, and not the entire region is covered in it.

I have an idea. It is very similar to smreczinsky. The creature lives on a lilac tree and theoretically it can be dragged to any region. Not? wink.gif

and such damage to lilacs in addition to this species can do other weevils? It's just that I've seen marginal leaf damage of this nature and not infrequently in Krasnoyarsk

Yes, they can, but if in the city and on the lilac tree, then this is probably it. We have in all parks and yards lives.

a couple of glocyanuses
1. there is no doubt that this is G. fennicus, the top of the aedeagus seems to me to have a completely different structure.

2. either G. fennicus or distinctus (I don't remember showing it or not)

if it's fennicus then why do they have so few rounded white scales in the gaps

it is difficult for me to judge fennicus because I did not collect this species and did not hold it in my hands
. especially the lower
one and there are bumps on the sides of the pronotum? at least small

29.11.2015 18:55, akulich-sibiria

it seems to me that the upper one is more suitable for distinctus. Here I tried to take a picture from the side, there are no bumps, the pronotum is smoothed from the sides
picture: DSCN1439.JPG

but the lower one seems to me to have angular sides of the pronotum, plus the genitals are suitable with fennicus

it's hard for me to say, distinctus is very variable, here's a comparison for example

it is strange why the file is saved with the name punctiger, although I think this species should have no light scales on the elytra at all.
Well, yes, it looks similar to mine, and if it really is both distinctus with such different tops of the genitals, then perhaps both of mine are also them. One thing stops, the lower beetle is very similar to the one that is defined by Legalovym from another point of view, however, as fennicus... confused.gif

where should they be? )) Does it look too tropical, if I may say so?" But only my brother caught him personally there and personally put him in a certain box, bought there. The question is different - Athens is an international port. Maybe skidded from somewhere? And from there, he flew to the surrounding village. Then I'm at a loss to guess at all.
