Someone from the Zopheridae. Will Langelandia go?

07.01.2016 14:01, Fornax13

Cryptophagus or something similar

Not even close. I think that this is Triphyllia koenigi, although I have not seen this animal "in real life". Are the paws heteromeric?
Someone from the Zopheridae. Will Langelandia go?

No, Langelandia definitely won't go - those eyeless ones. Lastrema verrucicollis is, it is also in Iran.

Leistus sp.

Anchomenus dorsalis

In Moldova, there are three leistus on the list : Leistus piceus (a completely different form of elytra, until I came across it), Leistus (Pogonophorus) rufomarginatus (larger and darker) and Leistus (Leistus) ferrugineus (smaller and red).

There should be no disagreements here.
1. Pterostichus anthracinus (Illiger, 1798)
2, 3, 4. Poecilus lepidus (Leske, 1785)
You just have to find out the truth yourself. Identifying Harpalus from photos is a thankless wink.giftask

have you ever tried to use qualifiers (not people)? =such books ? even if not on paper, then in pdf, jw, ... formats? in the sense of reading it YOURSELF and seeing the distinctive features? a terrible thing, a lot of letters, it's good if the pictures show! many things can only be seen for yourself and with a certain amount of experience. you won't be smart with someone else's mind! umnik.gif start with the genus on the "green" , and then it's not far to the species wink.giffor the Moscow region. wink.gif

there are keys for individual genera and so on, but this is if you are interested...

1, 2-Determining Agriluses from photos is generally a stupid task. On what are they collected? Or at least specify the biotope. Sometimes it helps a lot.
3-more likely Poecilonota variolosa, the shield of dicerocs is not so healthy
4-for me, so the female Cratomerus diadema (or Anthaxia (Cratomerus) diadema - this is how you like it)
5-possibly a female of Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) rossica. In the south of St. obl. it is quite common, but check for yourself-with antaxy not everything happens so easily

And yes, please specify the dimensions.
