I'm sorry, of course it's Hygrotus decoratus. Their drawing is similar to that of G. pictus, but without a clearly distinguishable dotted line and scale, they were confused by redface.gif

There is little hope, but suddenly someone can help with this huge pterostichom.

Elbrus region, Cheget mountain slope, 15. VI. 2016
l=17 mm

I tried to determine by Kryzhanovsky ("handwritten tables" that)
Talon segment of the legs from below with bristles. Abdomen without transverse grooves. A large one. Pronotum is heart-shaped. So confidently I go to P. (Myosodus) filipjevi (Lutshnik, 1928), but it seems that it should not be found there...

And how variabilis it does not pass, or what? I don't have a bug from Cheget, but I have a bug from Maly Bermamyt, signed as P. variabilis bermamyticus. Very similar in appearance. It's a bit scanty with the pores on the outer spaces, and they are complex in general, these myozoduses. In short, take a closer look at variabilis.

Thanks! I considered this option, but according to Kryzhanovsky, variabilis should have rows of pores at the 3rd, 5th and 7th intervals... I would like to find a description of the subspecies, maybe it is devoid of these features?

Please help me identify: 2016, July, Ryazan region (Meshcherskie forests)

1. Trichius fasciatus wax beetle? As I understand it, the shape of the stripes on the elytra can vary.

2. Arhopalus rusticus

3. Spondylis buprestoides

Second batch, some more from the same place:

05. Some Chrysolina, I will assume Chrysolina aurichalcea. The plant is not identified, something low with buds.

06. Hippodamia variegata. On the angelica tree.

07. A couple of beetles on a clover-gruel.

08. Leaf-eater on a black alder near a forest lake. Agelastica alni, actually?

Good evening, everyone.
Today, several beetles of this size, 5 mm, were caught under the bark of a dry maple tree. I fought them, but I didn't win. I don't even know what family. There are several options available on your favorite site galerie-insecte.org there was only one image in chernotelki, but in the"undefined" category https://galerie-insecte.org/galerie/view.ph...idae_guy140.jpg
But they have almost half the superfamily in the blackbirds. So it might be something else.

Do you have live beetles?
How can they not sit obediently?
Do you take pictures of water beetles in a special aquarium?

These are not" beetles", but bedbugs.
Most likely, Coptosoma scutellatum (Geoffroy, 1785) [Hemiptera: Plataspididae]
P.S. Mating of "bugs", as a rule, takes place in the doggy style type, and bedbugs have a specific "twisted" copulatory apparatus, which is why this position during mating is associated. wink.gif

The beetle was determined-Adelina pallida. But it's not entirely clear if this is Tenebrionidae, or Cucujidae after all? A purely nomenclatural question.
These are even different superfamilies.

According to the classification, they have him in chernotelki, the Diaperini tribe.

02.11.2016 13:36, Fornax13

It actually turned out to be an American. Florida over there, all that stuff. Has anyone found it here?

I think it's Adelina (=Doliema) turcica. It is known from Romania and Hungary, so it could easily live here. In any case, this animal was not specified for Moldova smile.gif

Thank you. I already got to Adelina turcica myself, found it on an Italian forum, and even started deleting my posts, they now look stupid. But I saw your post and gave it up.
My dream is to find lists of all beetle families for Moldova. So far, there are only ground beetles. And several families for Ukraine-barbel, black-bodied. But that won't do. I suspect that I already have up to a dozen types of different groups that are not specified for Moldova. Maybe this should be published somehow?

And there is no point in searching for lists, because for most beetle groups, you will have to make lists almost from scratch. You definitely need to publish your findings!

Hello everyone!
In this topic, for the first time, I was shocked by the photos, especially NakaRB eek.gifJust like from NG!!
I stopped by on business:I want someone to help the participant from here:

No one even tried to search!
Not the fact that she will still come after the "warm" reception, but suddenly as if for a straw...

I'd like to know what region it is. In general, the beetles are not trivial, they resemble something from the genus Holoparamecus (among them there are a certain number of synanthropes), but you can tell from the photos of these beetles that shamanism is pure. In general, I would not refuse a dozen of such animals (only whole).

I will write to her there, thank you for the response, let's hope-it will come, and you will get a copy from a human head, let's hope))
And in general, it can be that these animals live in the hair? I've never heard of anything other than lice.

We meet with black legs and whiskers and half black and red. And this beetle has completely brown whiskers and legs. What other variations do this species have?

Beetles, including mold eaters, cannot live in the hair. By the way, in the topic " Who is this?" a completely working version was expressed (which for some reason remained unnoticed-URL #5219), how they could get into the hair:
http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtop...dpost&p=1644136
Here, many synanthropic beetles can still eat cereals, grain products and their derivatives.
