I would assume Chlorissa or Phaiogramma etruscaria has lost its green color.

Number the photo or put the number in the file name, otherwise it's so inconvenient.

in the ethyl acetate stain, if the wings get wet, the color may change?

17.01.2017 16:03, Alexandr Zhakov

In general, the green color of butterflies is not the most persistent. in mordants, even if the wings are not wet, there is a very high chance of losing the green color. To preserve the color, a little podmarivayut and kolyat with ammonia, others generally use squeezing, so that without any chemistry and still keep the green color is very difficult.

The worst possible piece of advice. Ammonia kills any unstable color faster than any other substance. That green moth, that white melanargy, become a nasty yellow color barely touching its vapors.

I won't argue. I wrote about the theory smile.gif
In ammonia vapors, really green ones lose their color, but it was about killing, do not put them in sealed boxes so that the vapors do not accumulate. There are probably no universal methods.

More than enough of those vapors that come from the needle, and then, after the injection, when evaporating from the carcass.

I agree, green, and in general moth, once again prick is not worth it. Too frail body, and squeezing because of this is bad. It is necessary to slightly podmarivat ethyl acetate and monitor the stain so that it does not fog up, especially in the heat, even open it periodically. In the end, everyone goes through mistakes and "botched" copies to a certain experience and decides how it is more convenient and practical for them to achieve the best possible safety...
