Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • The forewings of this tapeworm are brownish-gray, with light dusting, black, strongly serrated transverse lines and an indistinct dark wavy line. The reniform spot is light, with a double border and a brown spot below it. The hindwings are red with a narrow black median band and a broad black band around the outer edge. The fringe is spotted.
