I will also add that Belyaev in the Far Eastern catalog divided the types of opis and nigrita. In Europe - nigrita, and in the Far East both are.

Is it Bucculatrix demaryella? It's not the first time I've seen such red-haired vermin in the swamp, but I've only just managed to take a picture. By the way, Phylloporia bistrigella was also found there today!

It seems to come out using Swedish keys. But you would take a fresh specimen, not these half-dead remains... tongue.gif

The remains escaped during photographing (as well as a copy of a week ago), and so who knows, maybe the right side was fresher)

You must specify the location!
If in the Moscow region there is a choice of 3 species, then I will not take up Siberia at all, there are more of them and I do not know them.

Sorry, Bryansk region. I thought that checkers are unambiguous in their definition.

Since there's a pigeon flash mob here, I'll raise my own. Tossed between icarus and amandus, eventually leaned towards amandus, now again doubted. Place-river meadow in the Moscow region, June 10.

Definitely not amandus, it turns out icarus, it doesn't look like thersites either.

Good evening." Define it. please. what kind of butterflies are they? Similar to Euroctis similis. But the excessively narrow front fenders are embarrassing. The wingspan is 36 and 40 mm.

And what exactly dismisses it as amandus? according to photos on the Internet, the icarus has orange markings on its lower wing that are somehow larger and brighter than mine.

good afternoon.. Can you tell me if this is Cydia pactolana or C. grunertiana? Front fenders with an unbroken black stripe. I'm leaning towards the former.

The orange holes vary a lot, and you don't really need to look at them. Amandus never has rays of white scales between a row of orange scales and a row of black dots, your butterfly has them, although they are not very bright, but the butterfly itself is pale. smile.gif In nature, they are difficult to confuse because of their size, icarus is smaller, but the top of their wings is completely different.

Hello. Please tell me the name of this thick head. Taken the day before yesterday on the shore of a salt lake outside the city. More than once I notice that they love the nectar of prickly zopnik.
