Friends, good time to all!
This Parnassius tianschanicus was once given to me by Mikhail Shestopalov. For many years I did not pay attention to the label and then I looked and I can not understand what this place is. Maybe someone has some thoughts on this data: Kyrgyzstan, Banaua Ushinghir, 07.1994. Mikhail never seems to have made any mistakes in the labels.

Do I understand correctly that Celypha rosaceana is on top and rufana is on the bottom? Yellow-green spots on the back of the first butterfly-this is apparently an element of the drawing, I saw another one at night. In general, I noticed that with the removal of warm air from the south, Pestovo often throws all sorts of atypical Celypha, or they just climb out only on very warm nights.

I did see it, but only the second copy then has the same degree of flying, and they look suspiciously fresh. And the question is-why are they output, suddenly it grows at best for 500 km. from me? Although Titanio normalis arrived last night, so anything can happen...

I didn't look at the literature, but where I caught it, kermek was always present, maybe I should look at it. Budashkin said that the bred and caught ones are very different, the latter are much paler.
And Titanio normalis, which flies during the day, has never been born.

Apart from the drifts, Kermek seems to be the closest to the Black Earth, but Armeria is the closest.

Alexander, thank you very much! Does this place have any other name? No search engine finds it.

In Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, there are a lot of such names that can hardly be found through a search engine smile.gif, these are small villages, gorges, canyons. I didn't work in the Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve for so long, but during this time I visited a lot of different places there. The Kojo-Ata river flows in the reserve, it dries up in hot years, and in the place where it dries up, 50 km from the reserve, this place is located, when the years are rainy, this place is flooded by a flood of the river, that is, it simply does not exist. More correctly, probably as Banavuy-Kel-Yushinga.
