Good day to all!
Another scoop is questionable. It was distinguished from the numerous Xanthia icteritia by the dark yellow background of the forewings.
Could it be Xanthia gilvago? Dark yellow-ochre-the color of the forewings is a sign of this species.
Moscow region, Serpukhov district, Martyanovo, 13.09.2020

user posted image

This is Cirrhia icteritia. In C. gilvago, the distal angle of the forewing is less pointed.

Very similar to it.

In the second and third images from above, Cosmia trapezina; in the fourth, I believe, Noctua interposita.

I assume that the fourth picture shows Diarsia brunnea.
Noctua interposita is still not so red-brown in terms of background, and its spots are not as light as in this specimen.

Precisely! That's the one. I somehow did not immediately see a number of dark dots in front of the distal wing ligation. smile.gif

Thank you very much! But don't say anything about this scoop?
It is very vaguely similar to Acronicta alni, but the drawing is not the same at all. And the time for alni is earlier-25.04.2011. Maybe some kind of scoop, but I didn't find any similar ones either?
In general, there are no options at all.

I think I figured it out myself. It turned out that this was a typical yellow - whiskered scooper(Achlya flavicornis).

The Southern barn moth or Indian moth (Plodia interpunctella) is a dangerous pest of food stocks. Caterpillars feed on various dry food products of plant origin: flour, cereals, grain, cereal flakes, pasta, dry bakery products, dried fruits, vegetables and mushrooms, nuts, chocolate, medicinal herbs, etc.

Hello. I do not understand in any way-Is it urticaria, or Nymphalis polychloros, or Nymphalis xanthomelas? "My brain is already boiling.

Yes, so.
Compressing a photo is correct, but it is much more important to specify the date.

Several times I saw a butterfly that looks like whiteflies, but along the edge of the wings (at least the rear ones) there is an orange border. They can't take a picture, so they fly away. I want to know what kind of butterfly it is. I can't find any similar ones on the Internet. I'm already wondering if I imagined it... I saw it in early-mid-April of this year and last year. Bryansk region.
And yes, it's not Zorka.
