Hawk moth Hemaris sp., crawled to pupate.

Good afternoon! Please help me identify the caterpillar. Found in the Moscow region in July on raspberries. The quality, however, is not very good...

It seems to be some kind of nymphalid. Mother-of-pearl, maybe. You can't see anything in the photo. frown.gif

Apparently it's him. It feeds on marsh cypress. And during the day, without hiding, as it is written on the site, in a shelter. thank you

Hello. It may be a stupid question, but it really bothers me. What kind of animal is this and who will it grow into? From the Kola Peninsula, more specifically-from the birch tree =)

Hello! Please help me figure out who I'm sheltering.
A week ago, on the green basil tree, I found such a caterpillar and decided to leave it. I read the forum, decided that most of all it looks like a scoop.
picture: P1130994.JPG
The caterpillar ate basil and mulberry leaves. Once I put her water with sugar, which she also drank. And yesterday, she underwent a strange metamorphosis.
All day it was motionless, and by nightfall it began to molt. I expected her to just come out of her old skin, but she didn't.
At first, it thickened somehow, then began to darken ( here you can see the old skin collected at the bottom)
picture: P11400051.jpg
Well. Now it is completely dark, the lower part of the body has hardened. The back pair of legs is gone, but there seems to be a stinger.
picture: P11400111.jpg
Tell me, please, what kind of animal?!

Hemaris tityus or Hemaris fuciformis ??

This is Agrius convolvuli.

1-я Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner, 1808)

The second one is also armigera.

Voronezh region with corn/ to what size should it grow as much as possible before pupation?

Helicoverpa armigera. Up to 4 cm approximately.

It feeds on marsh cypress. And during the day, without hiding, as it is written on the site, in a shelter.

If the caterpillars do not hide in a shelter, it means that they are most likely infected.

Tell me, please, what kind of animal?!

This is the caterpillar scoops. She tried to pupate, but died. This usually happens due to inappropriate conditions of detention. Underfed caterpillars often die in this way when trying to pupate.

It seems that Vasily is completely right - this is Lasiocampa quercus (I got excited with Malinredface.gif). And as for the oaks, ducks, they also eat birch leaves.

It winters in the caterpillar stage and goes without food until May. View the topic: http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtopic=355726 I can't say anything more about the content: the view just didn't display it once.
I forgot to write: at least until September/October, still feed the leaves of oak or birch.
