Pelosia is either obtusa, or muscerda.

Unlikely. Spilosomes pupate earlier. Search for follow among wintering caterpillars.

Typical larva of Criocerinae. Representatives of the genus Oulema feed on cereals (at least in the ECR).

Which moth is the caterpillar? Ryazan region, Meshchera, August 9. The caterpillar's food plant is unknown, as I brought it on my own from the forest smile.gif
picture: 12122.jpg
picture: 12123.jpg

These caterpillars are found everywhere in the forest-on blueberry mostly. I thought all the time that it was a raspberry cocoonworm, only that one is almost completely black with brown markings (I know them well and often meet them in the Tula region), and this one has clear red rings, and I have met older specimens.. (Meshchera July 24)
picture: 12111.jpg

And this beauty I rescued from the river! I was swimming in a forest river, and suddenly I saw a hawk moth caterpillar (like maly vinny) floating along the stream, desperately twisting and tumbling. And as luck would have it, in a place where there is half a meter of water, and the rest is peat porridge. Somehow I reached smile.gifAround one alder. (Meshchera on August 7)
picture: 201608.jpg

Another moth, quite beautiful. Fell on me from a birch tree.
