Hello, please tell me, is this a caterpillar of Pericallia matronula? It's big, bigger than Kaya's. I found it on the road, as far as I remember, it will spend the winter. What should I feed her? Although bears are almost omnivorous, I think plantain or dandelion will not refuse...

14.08.2011 19:16, Anax chernobila

Apparently it is (Pericallia matronula). But I'm not sure exactly. It will spend the winter. From the egg 2 times! You are lucky, it is rare! i want too... It eats Oak and Ash Trees...

Not very rare, I catch them regularly in our light for the night 2-3 pieces.

Oleg, you would at least name a plant that has eggs on it... You may also need a shooting region. Fill out your profile, at least.
And then, no eggs are visible, no plants, no region. And how do you determine this?
Eggs are like http://www.lepiforum.de/cgi-bin/lepiwiki.pl?Pieris_Brassicae
Caterpillar - A. rumicis.

- If you put it in the sun, it will never work, because it will die.
- Set the correct search (Acronicta) and you will find everything.

1. a moth was sitting on a dry leaf of a big-eared willow.
What about Aethalura punctulata?

Still pyadenichki (small, 1 cm). Sat in the number of 5 pieces on an apple tree.
Opisthograptis luteolata

Aethalura punctulata......
And where would you like to see it?
Opisthograptis luteolata?
No, it's not them. My hump disappeared after molting.

luteolata

I didn't actually collect them. shuffle.gif I have something with the moth does not add up to pupate.
Even a healthy birch tree died without pupating. weep.gif And I don't even know when to take these. And my vacation is over. So I run the risk of collecting only those who are clearly going to pupate.
In general, I have no luck with moths. Always come across such as nowhere in the photo is not. P.
S. By the way, I looked closely at luteolata on ukleps, really similar to a light green form!
I didn't see her right away.
Thanks! jump.gif

Hello everyone, help me identify the caterpillars.
1. M. O. Poplar 24.07.2011 on a birch tree, some kind of moth, the length of the caterpillar is approximately 4-4, 5 cm.

Take a look at Cabera pusaria on the Polish website http://www.lepidoptera.pl/show.php?ID=374&country=RU
It seems similar...
