How much weight does it have?

According to the passport - 14 kg (refilled).

In the Japanese market, it is sold under the brand name Elemax.
I've had this for 8 years now. Serves faithfully.
Once a year I change the oil - that's all the service.
Superior quality and absolute reliability.
I recommend this model to anyone for whom the question of price is not the main thing.

All this is bullshit ( Europaue or Honda). Japanese four-stroke generators are probably more reliable than their counterparts from China, but their price is simply not comparable with the latter. I first used the Endress 750 generator (now they don't make such a power), now the Kipor 1000 ( I took it for 10000r.), but their price is several times less than the Japanese and supposedly European sludge. At the same time, I checked endress in extreme mode, i.e. completely disassembled before flying to the country to study entomofauna. In this form, he gave three full cycles ( three countries to visit) - disassembly to the chips ( before boarding the plane), assembly, work on the spot + precipitation in buckets.
For four-stroke cars, the only problem is the presence and control of the oil level and the absence of overvoltage. Everything else is just extra indicators, buttons, and brand icons. Thus, if you observe the oil and overload modes, then the usual Kipor for $ 300. It will be lifelong, but if the difference of $ 700 breaks, I think it will not be a hindrance to buying a new Chinese kipor.
For any manufacturer, sooner or later there is a need for improvement. For example, I squeezed 99% out of the material and technology, unlike the Japanese, who continue to produce low-power inverters in the form of low-power inverters until now. It is already clear to an idiot that the market needs devices with a smaller mass and size. And the Japanese know about it, but they don't do anything. Here the Russian fifth-grader will be able to tell them what to do to get a generator for 1000dol. It became a bestseller and surpassed all available competitors. But so far only so-the brand and the extra diodes on the panel, and with them the extra overpayments.

14 kg for 1 kW is a lot. There are cheap ($150) 850W generators weighing 8.5 kg on the market. I have one. I carried it in my backpack along with a supply of fuel (by the way, it is very economical, 2.5 liters of tank is enough for the whole night), one of the advantages is that it is two-stroke. In general, yours is an ill-considered purchase.

Don't be so categorical.
Many of us don't need to carry a generator in our backpack.
And almost no one needs to disassemble it "to the chips" and assemble it back.

What kind of generator weighing 8.5 kg did you use? And what are the advantages of a two-stroke engine?

I don't remember the name. Swerig has the device now, and if he sees the topic, he will write to you.
The two-stroke engine is good because the oil must be poured into the fuel tank. I.e. you can stupidly prepare a canister of the mixture and not worry about the rest.

I apologize if my statement seemed too categorical to you.
But catching where a person does not reach by car is much more interesting)))

The two-stroke engine is good because the oil must be poured into the fuel tank. I.e. you can stupidly prepare a canister of the mixture and not worry about the rest.

But this mixture will carry on itself" where a person does not get by car " will be noticeably more than with the same power of a 4-stroke truck, since the latter consumes less gasoline and significantly less oil per unit of power, and the engine life is several times longer. Moreover, no one usually goes to such places for 1 night, and for several nights the difference will be kilograms. A plastic oil canister doesn't weigh anything.
This would be justified if there were ultra-compact 2x_taktniki weighing, say, 3-4kg, albeit of low power and, accordingly, consuming a little, like lawn mowers. But there are no such devices, and for 8,5 kg without fuel, there are also 4x_taktniki, moreover, inverter ones, i.e. they give autonomy not only for fishing, but also for all other equipment. True, in my personal experience, the quality of inexpensive models leaves much to be desired, but they usually work at 50% of the declared load. For trips with a car, Kipor remains the best value for money in Russia, imho. The real alternative for long hikes is a compact battery pack+solar panels+LEDs, but it is expensive and less efficient.
