First half of July, night, south of Primorye, house at the biological station. I flew in between the window frames. What kind of species is it-A. artemis or A. gnoma-I can't say, because I didn't look at the spot on the hind wings.

Listen, like, artemis.

Can you tell me where Primorsk is located?
I can't remember.
And the butterfly is just great...

DV - Far East, Primorsky Krai, Not far from Vladivostok and Ussuriysk.

More precisely, Vladivostok is the capital of Primorsky Krai.

The tails are short - the Dwarves are longer, and there are no dark stripes on the wings... More like Artemis.

I agree with Bianor! Artemis!

There is no Actias artemis in the Russian Far East - see the work of Lvovsky, Dubatolov and Streltsov in 2007. In my opinion, it is on the Internet, so all the details are there. What we used to call this name is now called A. aliena. In both photos, it is exactly she who appears. The real Chinese artemis, by the way, has a gnomelike appearance.

Here, I found a link in the Internet to this article:

Dubatolov V. V., Lvovskiy A. L., Streltsov A. N. On the taxonomic status of Actias artemis (Bremer et Grey) (Lepidoptera, Saturniidae). - Issue 6. Blagoveshchensk, 2007. - pp. 102-104, color. Table 9.
