Harmonia axyridis (or Leis axyridis) is the most common ladybug in the Far East, with a range as far south as Taiwan. The color varies greatly. A characteristic feature of this species is a transverse fold at the top of the elytra (see the lower left photo).


Is there Harmonia axyridis on the DV without a transverse fold at the top of the elytra?
At one time, I didn't ask Viktor Kuznetsov about this, because I didn't do cows, but now you can't even ask.
And in Irkutsk, all H. axyridis-s do not have such a fold, or is it a different species here?

Copulating pairs were collected in Vladivostok on 9-VI-1978 (leg. E. Berlov).
Males belong to the species Calvia 12-maculata, and females to Calvia 14-guttata.
They didn't disconnect even in the stain.

Calvia duodecimmaculata (Gebler, 1832) is a synonym of Calvia quatuordecimguttata (Linnaeus, 1758).
