if only the color.. And even the shape of the spots on the elytra and the shape of the pronotum.. Moreover, if these color forms do not intersect, then we would just have to talk about subspeciessmile.gif. It's not like morphocarabuses, which have all the colors of the rainbow for each species..
I also use a tarpaulin.. But I just don't have anything else..
And there doesn't seem to be an optimally good catalog of carbuses right now.. And the tarpaulin has errors.

If you look at the spots, then in red they are elongated, teardrop-shaped, in ordinary ones they are round, and in blue-green ones they are generally square.. With a general elongation of the body in red, stockiness in ordinary and wide elytra and narrow pronotum of blue-green..

Not only morphocarabuses, but also many other taxa have strong individual variability, even from the same locality.
Naturally, this only further confuses an already complicated situation.
By the way, this property of Carabus is successfully used by merchants and ambitious people of the past and present, unreasonably describing new subspecies. mad.gif

But I would love to collect in my collection various color variations, and it does not matter whether they are subspecies or forms, and if they are confined to settled habitats, then even more so. And the taxonomy is bullshit-one thing today, another tomorrow, but the animals remain. If the species is polymorphic, then it is a shame to limit yourself to the male and female. Well this is IMHO.

Entalex, thank you so much for Koptolabrusov, well, if you have a series, maybe we'll see the variability, however, and for what you do, THANK YOU!!!
