And furkul from Primorye - I looked in the book of Izersky and would also have identified it the same way.

And I used it to determine.

04.09.2007 9:40, guest: гость

My modest corrections on specific names:

- Furcula furcula sangaica (Moore, 1877) (=lanigera Butler, 1877) - considered a subspecies of
furcula - Cerura erminea candida (Staudinger, 1892) - (listed as Cerura_menciana-there is no such species in the fauna of Russia, at least not officially listed. In my opinion, the normal female erminea)
- Notodonta jankowskii Oberthür, 1879 (listed as Peridea jankowskii, now in the genus Notodonta - in Chistyakov's definition of insects of DV, we will assume an inaccuracy)
- Furcula bicuspis (Borkhausen, 1790) (=infumata Staudinger, 1887) - is combined with the species Furcula bicuspis, which it doesn't even seem to be divided into subspecies.

Thank you for the selection!!!

Thank you, I am familiar with these works, but I decided to refer to Izersky. Maybe it was a whim, but still, I decided to file both lanigera and infumata, so, note, there were questions in the identification of the genus Furcula.
Thank you very much for your comment.

It's a pity if you don't start making a catalog from there.
The algorithm can be as
follows: the curator determines the current classification( with the involvement of specialists for this group, if possible)
. Then the catalog is laid out, following the model of the German forum, only with a modification

for example:

Family NOTODONTIDAE

Subfamily Pygaerinae

-........................ ........ .................... ......... male-female - in nature - (something else)
-

-Clostera pigra (HUFNAGEL, 1766) URL #3 - URL# - URL#- jump.gif

if you don't have your own photos, you can specify an external link. For example, photos in nature plumigera are good in the German
lepiforum Photo requirements and which ones to place are determined by the curator(or with the consultants he will attract)

Problem with image database security

The idea is correct.
I'll have to work on it. One requirement has already been formed - it is good if you post your own photos of participants, both from nature and collections. Photos of caterpillars are also welcome. The main thing is that the photos are original, and not from other sites.

You can try to create a separate site about Palearctic crested whales. Something like http://tpittaway.tripod.com/silk/satlist.htm. And then agree to put this site under a level 3 domain on www.entomology.ru or a free one.

05.09.2007 22:09, Pavel Morozov

You can, of course, and make a page, leaving this forum topic as a "transit point", from which it can be replenished.
HOWEVER, IT IS BETTER TO LEAVE IT IN THE FORUM.

So it will be better, more democratic, or something. Anyone can upload photos to the forum pages, AND THIS WILL BE ESPECIALLY VALUABLE!
If you make it a separate site, then it will be visited mainly for viewing and live participation of visitors will be much less.

So, the forum in this case is better.

Wow! Drymonia obliterata and Drymonia velitaris are also included. Does anyone have any?

06.09.2007 20:21, AntSkr

Probably no one has Phalera bucephaloides... What is its range in Western Europe?
Even Odontosia sieversi is not enough (did anyone catch it in MO?).

06.09.2007 21:43, Pavel Morozov

O. sieversi is definitely available in the Moscow region. I didn't catch it myself, but it appears in the list of PTZ as a large species. It flies early, starting in April.
Phalera bucephaloides may be in the south. In Europe, it is distributed quite widely - from the very south to central Europe to the north and east to Asia Minor.

Precisely! We have Odontosia sieversii, the earliest crested bird.
In the spring, it takes off even before the leaves on the trees open, in April, and disappears in mid-May. At this time, it is usually cold nights and few people come to the light...

Let's continue with the crested ones.
This time it's Asia. One species is from China, the rest from Malaysia, Borneo. (about 20 species)
Sizes from 3-4 cm to 10-12cm!

Well, let's go!
Cerura malaysiana - N. Borneo, Sabah.
sorry for the quality, the copy had to be degreased and, literally, restored by scale.
