The subfamily Phalerinae Butler, 1886
is not only well-known to many "holes", but also other rather pretty crested birds. The subfamily is well represented in the Old World.

Very similar to Phalera Teinophalera elongata (Rothschild, 1917)
A copy from South China, presented by A. Schintlmeister.
It is widely distributed in Southeast Asia, growing in late autumn and winter.

The genus Antheua Walker, 1855 is much more widely represented in Africa than in Asia.
These are usually yellow-colored medium-sized butterflies.
Such as Guinea Antheua cinerea Walker, 1864.
Common in West Africa

It is distributed from Pakistan to Indochina, and is known from Sumatra and Java. Butterflies are usually found in places developed by humans.

Thank you very much!

Tarsolepis sommeri-yes, it is.

The genus Benbowia has long been in Stauropus, the caterpillars are exactly the same. In the photo, apparently, Stauropus kiriakoffi

Not exactly, it's a male and female of the widespread Syntypistis comatus (Syntipistis viridimaculata Matsumura is a late synonym)

As far as I know, there is no Syntypistis umbrosa in Borneo, both females are S. palladina

In my opinion, Parasinga lichenina, the female, and her male (designated P. insufficiens) exactly above her.

to Alexey Yakovlev:

"I have designated this species as Syntypistis umbrosa. In the qualifier, it goes as Quadricalcarifera malayana Nakamura stat. n. = Quadricalcarifera fasciata malayana Nakamura, and here S. umbrosa (very similar to mine) is served as a synonym for Quadricalcarifera fasciata malayana... "

Alexey, this is outdated data and confusing.
First of all, S. umbrosa-only on the mainland (but S. palladina flies with it in the south of Thailand)
Secondly, Quadricalcarifera fasciata malayana is also a synonym for S. comatus

http://www.jpmoth.org/~dmoth/Digital_Moths...otodontidae.htm

here, on the Japanese website, the very first "S. palladina" with a label from Chiang Mai is actually S. umbrosa. The rest-yes, S. palladina.

I'll have to make the pictures myself again. Like, posted both of them already?

That's right, there is no such thing.
Spatalia (Allata) duplius (Schintlmeister, 2007)
Described in already in other "Moles" - Moles of Thailand.
It is widely distributed in Southeast Asia, including the Sunda Islands. Since the representatives of the genus are very similar, they periodically describe something new there.
