Actually, I didn't think it was such a mess.
I'm not talking about the dustpan and the moth...Don't everyone really care? Or each in its own little pot?

Probably not enough time for everything, so you have to set priorities. Or the material is collected bit by bit for something global.

Yes, it is - time! Meanwhile, priorities have to be divided into more complex groups. And, the more material, the more questions there are so far.
And faunalism is a little relegated to the background ))

Hagapteryx admirabilis (Staudinger, 1887)
Collected on Sakhalin.
Did anyone collect it on Sakhalin?

The discovery of Hagapteryx admirabilis on Sakhalin has already been published:
A.V. Vertyankin " New finds of nocturnal micro-and macro-lepidoptera (Insecta, Lepidoptera, "Microheterocera", "Macroheterocera") on Sakhalin Island" Amur Zoological Journal. VII(2), 2015. 146-149

Dear colleagues, there is a question like this:
This paper presents an Annotated catalog of insects of the Russian Far East, vol. II: Lepidoptera-Lepidoptera. - Vladivostok: Dalnauka, 2016. - 812 p. - ISBN 978-5-8044-1576-2.for Southern Primorye, Phalera takasogoensis Matsumura, 1919 is given.
Where else was this species listed earlier for the south of Primorye? Is there a photo, where the material is stored, who determined it, etc.?

Please tell me who can, if not difficult. I will be very grateful.

21.01.2018 9:05, vvdubatolov

As far as I know, the view is given by Yu. A. Chistyakov. He probably has the material. But I doubt anyone has seen it...

Please note that Schintlmeister lied about the type locality of the species described by Bremer et Grey. They processed material from the vicinity of Beijing, Tatarinov's collections from the collection of Vasily Gray and Madame Gashkevich from the collection of the Imperial Academy of Sciences (later collections of Madame Gashkevich from the Amur and Japan, sent to the Imperial Academy of Sciences, were appropriated by Motchulsky, this is a well-known scandal and, it seems, died in a flood with his entire collection in his apartment; but more robust beetles have been preserved). All the materials included in the work of Bremer and Gray are well preserved in ZINA. The materials of the Amur expedition of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the mid-50s of the XIX century (where the collections from the Ussuri Valley come from between the mouth and the Nurhe River, which flows into the Ussuri from the territory of China) were collected several years later and published by one Bremer in 1864 (not counting short diagnoses of new species published in 1861).

And once again, thank you very much!
That's what I see, it says that the type is "[not examined]". And how is the neotype actually marked?
I studied your work in 2013.
Now I'll look at the Catalog of Notodontidae & Oenosandridae 2013-maybe they made edits there (although it's unlikely).

23.01.2018 12:06, vvdubatolov

There is a small chance that types (not neotypes!!!) Phalera were identified by Zolotukhin and I in the first half of the 90's (now, alas, I don't remember whether we worked with crested whales at that time; perhaps not, since they were far away at that time), but they were not published, i.e. the non-official lectotypes are still not identified. If I don't forget, I'll try to clarify it on my next visit to ZIN.

23.01.2018 22:17, Pavel Morozov

and in the catalog (2013), Beijing is already designated as a typical area. Type-in ZIN RAN

Nevertheless,
I remembered the report of my colleagues on Oleshkovsky sands from 08.05.2016, which shows a curious furcula that still looks like a bifida. Perhaps this is a local form, the color of which is due to climatic factors. It would be nice to see all the furculas from there. If, of course, there is a series.

But you need to check the instance shown above.
