Drawing is a drawing, and a good quality color photo will not replace any drawing, even if it is made professionally wink.gif

23.09.2011 22:16, Коллекционер

which one is rolleyes.gif

25.09.2011 12:10, Bianor

Yes, it will replace it. It is not always possible to print multi-color photos on good coated paper. For offset printing, the drawing is irreplaceable.

25.09.2011 13:22, Zlopastnyi Brandashmyg

It depends on what purpose. If we are talking about morphological studies/descriptions, then no photos can replace a high-quality drawing. If you need to describe the color features, then yes, a good color photo is better.

pa-ba!

http://rikki-t-tavi.livejournal.com/951304.html

This volume, written and drawn on parchment, was completed at the very end of the 16th century, and was created by two authors who never met. The famous calligrapher George Bocskay, who was imperial secretary to Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand I, has created a volume that he calls the "Model Book of Calligraphy". The pages of this volume are filled with examples of beautiful calligraphy, all sizes, styles, styles and shapes. Antiquities, cursive cursive, Hebrew, Greek alphabet, Gothic script-all presented on parchment pages. Texts, religious quotations, excerpts from documents are carefully written out and decorated with ornaments, painted letters, swirls and vignettes, and painted with gold and silver.

Fifteen years after the calligrapher's death, Ferdinand's reigning grandson, Emperor Rudolf II, commissioned the last great European miniaturist, Joris Hoefnagel, to decorate the volume with drawings. Hofnagel took the commission as an opportunity to compete with the calligraphic genius and tried to make sure that his miniatures were not just a decoration of the text, but were striking and riveting in themselves. The result is a volume of stunning beauty, in which the skill of the miniaturist and the art of the calligrapher emphasize each other.

The volume is preserved at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, and in the early nineties, the museum released a book with all the pages from the volume, and then three separate small books with selections of these pages. The scans that went online were large, and the books were quite small-the size of a desktop diary... Reproduced the actual page size. And if the inscriptions seem completely microscopic - they are exactly so masterfully created by the author. And all the drawings are exactly like that-the boogers and mosquitoes there are almost life-size.

Why Anubis with tits?

I don't know what the artist meant by that, but there was also Inputh, Anubis ' wife.

Bianor, "incorrect scanning" gave softness to the drawings, which was a significant plus! ))
And " Sacred Scarab (fantasy) - your own computer? - Och. great!
Collector, it is better to draw immediately from good sources, so that a pleasant plastic is formed (I just recognize the source with the rider , - there is clumsy plastic, such books and the furnace (in terms of re-drawing :- ) For example, from the books of V. S. Grebennikov, it will be very useful. ..

25.11.2011 11:10, Timandr

sorry, Collector, it turns out that you already wrote about this yourself (went to the previous page...). Go on, everything will be healthy

30.11.2011 23:41, DanMar

Finally, I was able to devote time to my favorite hobby, drawing the head of D. verrucivorus. Probably not very accurate, since there was no prototype.

I drew it from life..I tried..: I was in a hurry so that I didn't have time to fly away + it's not convenient to draw on the weight
