Seeing this "canopy" and the shade under it, I immediately rushed to see if there is any life there and found it! Here is this creature there in the sand fussily ran and quickly something is constantly digging, like a small excavator.

This is one of the road wasps-the Pompilidae family.©

Apparently, this is Indolestes obiri. And this dragonfly is known to be confined to shallow caves!
