Location: Altai Krai, Biysk.
Description. The caterpillar is covered with particles of bark, dry leaves and coniferous needles.
Situation.
In May 2013. I was walking along an asphalt road, along the side of which there are rather tall fir trees. I accidentally noticed a strange movement and found this specimen-a caterpillar covered with particles of bark, dry leaves and coniferous needles. Then I saw the same ones twice more in about the same place. I've never seen anything like this before.
The question is: who is it and how rare/harmful/useful is it?
Thank you.
