Specific narrow points need to be clarified and discussed at the work stage. An abstract is usually written based on the results of the work DONE. You can, of course, refine and improve something along the way. You can give your abstract to friends and colleagues to read on the subject of linguistics and common places. But not for editing by the general public.

This is a civilized approach, when either it is known that a colleague is a decent person, or nothing is known about his human qualities. This is a normal situation.
