Unfortunately, I wasn't there myself. But there were already a few colleagues and friends. If you have any questions , I can ask you.

You look like a berserker jump.gif

I still prefer to gather intelligence in advance.

05.09.2012 15:09, Romyald

You don't need any special intelligence to travel around Southeast Asia. It is only important to know the best place and time to collect the material you are interested in.

Yes, that's it! Therefore, instead of me this time, a new special forces officer will go. smile.gif The report is required, in all its details. As required by the charter. smile.gif

"You will get nets, stains and mattresses on the spot" smile.gif

06.09.2012 14:41, Romyald

Dear friend, smile.gif What kind of mattresses, etc. can we talk about if a person takes a generator with them? There is no point in shaking the air about these little confused.gif confused.gifthings at all - they, like cartridges, should be available umnik.gif.

06.09.2012 15:40, Romyald

Although, for the rest, I will note that any problem can be solved on the spot. Residents of the former Soviet Union are actually born in extreme conditions, and it should not be difficult for us to adapt to the new conditions and explain what is needed. The only exceptions may be the regions where military operations are being conducted, but I think no one will be allowed to enter these places, especially an entomologist with a net.
And keep in mind that a virtual introduction to the upcoming trip will never coincide with the real situation that will take hold of you in places where you are looking for new sensations. There is a direct correlation: the more extreme and difficult the trip, the more memorable it is, the more often you get into difficult situations, the braver you become, the braver you become, the bigger plans you set for yourself. And what else is left for old age? confused.gif What you managed to leave in your memoryumnik.gif .
So, don't think about anything. A net, etc. dribble into a backpack, and on the road, to new sensations! jump.gif jump.gif And don't forget to make a report! beer.gif

Personally, I can't imagine how you can travel around the country alone without knowing the language.

Well, if so, can he start learning English? I understand that the offer is bold and even indecent, but still....
It is not so difficult to learn 20-30 basic phrases and 200-300 words for an adult educated person. Based on the experience of numerous trips, I can say that the population of non-English-speaking countries for the most part knows English no better than we do. And accordingly, you can not particularly bother with grammatical delights and express your thoughts briefly and clearly. Mostly using nouns. At this level, it is quite possible to learn the language before the intended trip.

Why did you bother yourself so much? mol.gif In some places (including Southeast Asia), you don't need to know English at all. It is necessary to know only those who do not see travel without hotels and hotels. weep.gif weep.gif You need to focus on living in the forest umnik.gif. There you need to know the language of birds. Know the habits of animals. There's no one to ask: What would you like? There is the owner Sherkhan, there everyone is for himself. So feel free to buy a ticket somewhere in Thailand, Vietnam or Laos, and fly to your health. By the way, in September and October there is the most distribution, and you will see plenty of insects, and you will try cheap fruits. smile.gif

Here you will listen to you..... and you will go back to Turkey, where at least something is familiar and acceptable for money.
It's just that my goal is photographing, getting impressions, taking out a tiny part of what I saw, probably for the sake of a couple of exported species, you shouldn't go there with such difficulties and cost.....
Personally, I can't imagine how you can travel around the country alone without knowing the language.
With a manager in a travel agency in a normal relationship, can pick up a cheaper tour to some more or less normal place in Tae, please advise what to focus it on?
Thank you all!

Here you can not imagine, and people go smile.gifSo Many conversations have already spread-collected information on the Internet, took some phrasebook and go! Less words, more action. Romyald correctly said that everything will still not be as we imagined and planned. And the impressions are worth it.

Did you collect the info? Brazil will probably be worse than India.

Alexey knows about the situation in Brazil. He just doesn't take the easy way out. I took Colombia, and I think Brazil is just around the corner. beer.gif

12.09.2012 18:09, Zlopastnyi Brandashmyg

I am referring to the legislation - it is very difficult to get an export permit, in the case of commercial fishing, it is almost impossible, and fishing without a permit can lead to imprisonment, not even a fine.

Columbia was taken purely by accident! The luggage was searched and opened, but no action was taken by the security of the El Dorado airport ( Colombia)mol.gif. As it is, we could easily be detained mad.gif. In total, we had 7 containers and roughly about 1000 insects .

Yes, I'm also a lot of tongue scratching

I read what (who) might be waiting for me in the tropics, read various information about the ubiquitous variety of ticks and what they carry. Nightmare. Just a natural nightmare. Malaria even loses its "color". The amount of drugs that you need to take for insurance will not fit in your suitcase, soon you will have nightmares. How do you go there?! I'm pretty sure that I'll pick up something based on my last trip, and this is already quite scary for me, because the condition is indescribable. Probably I will try to ask someone to catch for me, because amateurs still go...

I looked at a gizmo here, it says that you can use it against mosquitoes. It will be useful for charging equipment. Should I buy it? If the mosquito protection function is not effective, but I will not take it. What do you recommend?

03.10.2012 8:17, swerig

What do you recommend?

03.10.2012 11:10, alex017

Poshlyaki.

03.10.2012 21:25, headshotboy

Don't be silly.

I just arrived from Laos - I've seen a mosquito a couple of times in 3 weeks. No ticks, not even normal leeches.

Read less nonsense, and even find an ectopic pregnancy at home.

Or, for the general state of mood, read the medical statistics for your Perm Region-and estimate the probability of dying from a roof collapse, without leaving the couch. I won't mention the danger of crossing the street...

Thousands of people constantly travel to these tropics to relax - nothing worse than a clap awaits them there.

I hope you haven't caught it." wink.gif

04.10.2012 18:58, alex017

Ticks do not tolerate gonorrhea wink.gif

By the way, I bought this charger 3.6V5V9V12V19V24V 3A/2A Mobile Power USB 18650 Battery Charger+adaptor+connector.

Now I'm thinking of buying a solar panel for it.
Don't think I didn't see it 2W solar charger in one package. The fact is that I didn't like the way everything was made: beautiful, but not functional, i.e. if you put this unique device in the sun in July, it will overheat and burn, it has a built-in battery, and not convenient universal batteries, the capacity of which can be chosen to taste. I once left my camera on the rocks, it was so incredibly hot.
Parameters of the purchased charger (input): 16.8 V 600mA.
I understand that to withstand 600ma at a decent size is not realistic.
250-300mA - quite realistic with the required voltage with one plate dimensions up to 150x100 approximately (x3).
I am waiting for your tips and suggestions smile.gif!

In the meantime, you can see what I found on the Internet:
Option 1: 5.5 V 250mA module, 120x80mm, 0.143 MW / mm
Option 2: 6V 200mA module, 109x84mm, 0.131 MW / mm
Accordingly, I think to put 3 modules in series in order to gain the necessary voltage.
In my opinion, option # 1 is more effective.

I bought a digital one ammeter and voltmeter, to make an indication of what the battery actually gives.
I bought it today 4pcs solar panel (1.2 w*4) and voltage regulator for accurate setting of the charger voltage.
Well, I almost got a power source that works regardless of civilization jump.gif

I apologize that it's a little off topic, but for some reason I didn't find anything sensible on the Internet. Everywhere only the production of plywood "posters"....

For Thailand, September-October will be preferable. And in October, the night will be already broken.

Great for you and me. smile.gif And for a beginner, you need to choose the best time, when everyone and everywhere is in the crowd. yes.gif

I don't know what groups you're interested in? confused.gif Broken will be everything wall.giffrom small scoops and mothswink.gif, and ending with gorgeous comets mad.gif.

08.10.2012 12:28, Romyald

Even giant barbelsumnik.gif, and then crawl without paws and whiskers. yes.gif

08.10.2012 12:28, alex017

I'm interested in...just that it will arrive there at all...I think the set will be hoo-hoo....
This means October, because there are simply no or very few flights in September.
I'm mostly interested in grasshoppers.
Well, there are quite a few cicadas.

08.10.2012 12:42, Romyald

True, Southeast Asia is big. This range includes even tropical Indonesia, which does not have such pronounced seasons as in the north( Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam). There, on the same island, you can get from a semi-desert to a blooming oasis with a bunch of insects.
If you are also interested in the day, then it is better to go immediately after the New Year. From January to March,Thailand, although not so rich, is quite interesting.
So, I advise you to go in the fall - from the end of August to the end of September, and in winter - from January to March. Then you can.....
