I'm interested in...just that it will arrive there at all...I think the set will be hoo-hoo....
This means October, because there are simply no or very few flights in September.
I'm mostly interested in grasshoppers.
Well, there are quite a few cicadas.

This good in Laos in September, apparently, is not visible. mol.gif One night, near Tobok, (100 km from Vientiane), I spent half a night filming cicadas and grasshoppers so that they would not disturb my hawkmothers. At first I just threw it away, then I started stabbing it. And when I realized that everything was useless, I decided to collect them in a plastic bag so that they would not get out. In the end, I collected about three kilograms: cicadas, crickets, grasshoppers. In the morning, when I was going to the hotel, I was scratching turnips, what should I do with them? Don't throw it away. I picked up the package, and it's hot (warm), like a person! So much for cold-blooded creatures! And when there are a lot of them and they all move, then heat is released as from a mammal. In general, I took them to the hotel, and gave them to the hostess of the hotel, and after lunch, when I woke up, the hostess invited me to the table, to taste Lao assorted dishes. I took a low bow, of courseno.gif, although it smelled quite decent. I think that if there was nothing to eat, I would have eaten it completely.
I had lunch at a local restaurant with delicious rice with hot sauce, fish, and a beer for the road tongue.gif. I hopped on my motorbike and went for an afternoon fishing trip to one of the nearby waterfalls jump.gif. And at night again for the cicadas and grasshoppers mol.gif.
The hostess of the hotel saw me off with tears in her eyes weep.gif, because those unforgettable three days, I fed her whole family a real delicacy umnik.gif. Oh, I forgot to mention wink.gifthat the owner of the hotel had a very, very nice little daughter shuffle.gif. You could have stayed for another three days! smile.gif
But no, it's time to go, we need to leave room for new impressions. jump.gif

Book a flight for a plane in advance, then it will be cheaper. You can do it in three months. You don't need to book a hotel or motorbike. You can find it everywhere without any problems.

I planned a trip to Turkey in December of this year for May of next year. I don't know how things are with Thailand.
Indonesia is certainly tempting, but I can barely scrape by on Thailand, and I won't say anything about Indonesia at all.
When exactly to go is still a mystery to me. I don't understand why, but spring definitely falls out, September remains, but there may be problems with flights. I'll go to a friend's agency and discuss it with her.
It remains to choose Vietnam or Thailand (the prices are equal)? Maybe in Vietnam it will be easier to go far away and catch?
Laos, alas, is not accessible from Perm.

Why go to an agency? confused.gif confused.gif You can book a ticket from home, for example, through the operator Ozon.ru, or One Two trip! yes.gif
All roads in Russia go through Moscow! frown.gifSo what? mad.gif Your flight to Bangkok is only two hundred bucks more expensive than flying directly from Moscow! wink.gif ( 32,000, or you can take it through Hong Kong for 29,000, but you will have to sit for a long time in transfers).
You can get to Laos for just 20 bucks, by bus, from Bangkok! tongue.gif

Ticket from home...arrived horseradish knows where and where to go - also knows horseradish. This is easy for those who go 101 times . 40tr with accommodation.

Take a look here http://www.onetwotrip.com/#0102PEEBKK2302. I have set you February, when there will be snowstorms in Russia! If you choose a suitable route, you will find yourself back in summer, where there are many grasshoppers and cicadas.

Is Vietnam worth a trip?
There are some difficulties with the visa, right?
Maybe someone knows the details? What is an invitation?

03.12.2012 15:11, headshotboy

EMNIP, you don't need a visa for up to 2 weeks - upon arrival, you get a stamp in your passport, and that's it. If it takes longer-yes, you need to do something there, some invitations / reservations, fill out questionnaires, and some other crap.

Booking or invitation is made by a travel agency, since there are plenty of travel agencies specializing in visa processing anywhere.

Well, or find a Vietnamese, he makes you an invitation for some money smile.gif

It's quite worth going there - even if you don't climb into the forest (which, alas, is very little left there), it's still good.

IMHO, Thai is better for the first time, but Vietnam is also very good smile.gifThe Vietas are more impudent and more baryzhisty than the Thais, more assertive and active, more like the Chinese smile.gif

Yes, I just look at the price of the trip, and it turns out to be 10 rubles cheaper only for the price of a ticket.
Plus, I read that when entering Tai, you need to show a 700ue. The price is not quite real.
And what about civilization? Somewhere not far from the hotel makes sense to look for something?

for South Asia, as I understand it, the optimal time is May-June, so that you can catch fairly well. Namely, the beginning of the first rains..
There are several entomologists in jail in Brazil right now, I've heard...

03.12.2012 19:40, alex017

What happened in Brazil?
The fact is that if I catch, it will be for sport, i.e. all those caught will be released. No poaching, thousands of caught pieces will not be even close. My goal: to see and take photos of someone, in the amount of several (about a dozen) pieces, to bring them home. That's all.
By the way, the last trips I saw like in May.

03.12.2012 19:40, CosMosk

You, alex017, may have a separate situation with straight-winged birds, when in the dry season there is nothing but their imagos, cicadas, and daytime ropaloceros banals...

03.12.2012 20:24, alex017

Well, I'm not such a foodie, we can get away with platitudes.
The main thing for me is to have a life close to the hotel. This is most likely the determining factor.
I can go in May or August-September. There are no other options.
The reason is adaptation to the Russian winter after a 30-degree heat wave. To be ill for a month or two is not at all interesting for me. Unfortunately, this is a fact. The presence of chronic bronchitis is not going anywhere.

03.12.2012 20:54, Hierophis

And not dumb to go? Vietnam is located at a latitude of 20 to 10 degrees! The sun is higher there than in Turkey.

In general, yes nafig that adaptation and everything else!! Go in December!
And then there's the prospect, and this is only December 19, and what will happen on December 21 ??? lol.gif

Everything is fine with civilization there smile.gif
On the islands, I think, and the nature near the hotel is already there.

In Pattaya itself, on the territory of the hotel and nearby, I caught a lot of small leaf eaters and weepons. Common ladybugs, banal barbels, a lot of different bedbugs. There are horse races, dung beetles in elephant dung, and little babies. There are butterflies, but I didn't catch them.
Voti all perhaps.

Well, Pattaya is clear that the city, and other places?
I was just asking about Vietnam....

By the way, where is there to look for a market or something similar? Surely there are a lot of interesting things there: plants, fruits and maybe various interesting animals, it is interesting not only for the sake of buying, but also for the sake of viewing.

Good - in the sense that it is there where it is needed and it is practically absent when it is not needed.

If in a remote place, then you need to learn the language already. Preferably Thai.
If necessary, I can search for the name of the hotel where we stayed with taler and caught fish.

There are markets everywhere, often quite interesting. You won't see any wild animals or plants. All this, of course, is caught, eaten, sold, but since it is legally prosecuted, an outsider will not see it. But the "standard set" is also interesting to see.

fresh cashew nuts I tried to crack-f***, tin-ate the skin.
and the fruit, when ripe and fell-a sour and indescribable taste-solid juice-chewed 2 and got drunk))

Alex from Perm seems to be unwittingly but politely trolling you - and that's not it for him, and that's not it... "I just haven't been and I haven't seen it... Who would take it? - but as I understand it, he will not catch you to death) For a dozen live serchkov at the price of a ticket to Brazil - I would not be able to decide)))
Alex, remember Afanasy Nikitin, who went all the way to India and hung out there, back in the day... Upon arrival, you ask where the buses are to the desired regional center such as Chiang Mai, etc. - and they will tell you and take you. And in advance of figs you will foresee everything - you can see better on the ground.

But it's good that there is a topic for conversation-there are some useful reports and tips!) Thanks! Unless there are not enough gps points of catchable places with an inexpensive snack...)

"A lunatic is sitting in the toilet-catching fish...", etc.

Thank you for troll and psycho! This is probably quite normal. Usually people go for the sea, the sun, sex, booze and pay for it (often without seeing either the sea or the sun, waking up only on the way home on the plane), few people would give so much for a few insects, sea reptiles and plants, and I'm not rich enough to easily give such a sum, I want to recoup the trip at least according to the principle: divide the amount spent by the number of live units brought.
Yes, I can't decide because following the example of the same hackneyed Turkey, from where I was able to bring some insects from only the third time, I'm afraid not to bring anything for the first time, it will be a shame.
As for the hotel, it will almost certainly be 3*. We will use a fumigator to complete any extra check-in.
As for" getting sick "after, the reason is that we have constant flu epidemics, everyone gets sick in "circles", i.e. the primary infection is always present, it is not very dangerous, but it" gives freedom " to the secondary, temporarily weakening the immune system. It is noticed that after a trip to warm countries, almost everyone has a cold. I think this is due to the fact that in warm countries there are no fucking viruses in the air, the immune system has time to "forget about them and relax".
Potted palms are good, but taking them home without soil means throwing out the palm tree or ruining all its beauty, which will not grow back very soon. But if I see something beautiful and not very expensive, then of course I will buy it.
On orkham not ugarayu, but again, seeing SOMETHING would buy, and if they do not wear, then again bummer.
There are certainly a little moronic hopes to buy, for example, grafted mango, rambutan or some exotic nut thread. At least this purchase can be recouped gradually by selling cuttings and grafted plants.

And the lowland part of the Tay is what and where?

05.12.2012 17:54, CosMosk

don't-don't-pro psycho-that's what fish places don't give out)))
yes, and about the troll-I tried to express not literally, but what it looks like in the end - about nothing. Yes, and the benefit of the discussion noted) So when are you going?"
Thank you for your cultural level - don't get personal! - very much respect))

In hotels, I am ready to live in any acceptable ones, as long as it is cheaper, and there is no upper limit.
In Thailand, I remember it's about 250-250 rubles, for 1 or 2-no difference, but it's too expensive for me.

But according to our rules, it is forbidden to import live plants, and up to 5 kg of fruit seeds. But just silently you can)...

05.12.2012 17:56, CosMosk

It seems that I have a chance to bring someone something (non-living or as legal as possible) from Southeastern America.. Modest requests are accepted before the start of the tour.weeks. Who has already caught it - everything is taken into account.

05.12.2012 18:02, alex017

I'll probably go in September, at the beginning. I don't really care about the conditions, but I would like hot water all the time, since in the heat you need to wash or refresh yourself sometimes more than once a day. The rest is small stuff.
According to our rules, I imported not only plants, but also food to the exported blacksmiths, because I was worried that we still did not have (and rightly so) live sea reptiles, and live sea urchins in a jar in a badger right with water.

And as for insults , I understand perfectly well that this topic is just a chatterbox for the most part.

05.12.2012 21:16, Zlopastnyi Brandashmyg

This is a matter of taste-someone is confused by the night yapping above their head, and an adult toki generally causes a butthert, and for someone this is what he is going for. wink.gif

Toki, by the way, drives away evil spirits with his cry, like a rooster in our country - so the Khmer people believe.

Be careful with fruit - believe the experience of a person who brought dysentery from the first expedition. But it didn't stop me!

It seems to me that for the first time it is better to try to cooperate with someone more experienced.

06.12.2012 0:05, headshotboy

06.12.2012 5:46, alex017

Dysentery is bad, but I always seem to wash my fruit, I'm only afraid for the rest of the food, because I don't know where to take it.
I take a lot of medicine with me, I have to cope. This time I managed to cope with the tick bite. the temperature was under 40 for a couple of days. Figs knows what happened.
Of course, it is better to go with a more experienced person, but preferably at least with a second person. One is quite dumb in a foreign country.
This year I brought Washingtonia without soil. I planted them. All the leaves were dry. Palm trees seem to have taken root, there is almost no greenery, instead of leaves - semi-dry stamens. And so they stick out. And after all, they are under the backlight!
As for mini-stickers. People won't buy flowers until they see them! So with all plants. We need hanging fruits/flowers. Even with this, they don't want to take it. It is easier for them to buy in the store. As for opx, stores often sell faded/damaged ones for 150-300r, so private sales are extremely poor.
Purely tropical plants...what's so scary about them? I have a backlight. All the plants are standing under it. I'm more worried about the subtropics. Hot in summer, hot in winter. Now I have a period for plants called "summer", the period of active growth, and in the summer- "winter", because because of the heat it is necessary to reduce the time of illumination burning. I didn't even count the number of species, but the definition of "dofiga" is accurate. There are some very light-loving "Australians".

06.12.2012 11:41, Zlopastnyi Brandashmyg

Don't be afraid of food! In Vietnam, the food is very good! If you eat in roadside eateries, make sure that everything is fresh from the fire. Avoid products that have not undergone heat treatment. Fruit should be in the skin - it is better to clean it yourself. Beware of peddled products - in the southern sun, an hour is enough for the product to "float", not to mention the hands of merchants, flies, etc.

However, I already wrote about this once, somewhere?

Marketing mistake - you are counting on the wrong circle of customers. Naturally, the standard orange visitor will not appreciate varietal orchids, they simply will not understand what they are wall.gif

Yes, you said earlier about hygiene, and I myself am scrupulous in this matter.

As for selling something, I just advertise on a local forum and that's it. I'm not trying any more. I'm not a salesman.
