smile.gif I had exactly Stegobium paniceum

05.03.2008 16:04, Victor Titov

I "clicked" on the photo, looked at it in an enlarged version. And in the first photo - Lasioderma serricorne. The beetle appears elongated due to the glare on the elytra, the glare makes the right elytra almost invisible. So the bug is perceived elongated and slender.

In the bathroom, and today in the room on the parquet floor, periodically (very rarely) come across strange insects similar to trilobites (the carapace pattern resembles them), only small 1 cm, the body is oval, translucent, pale, it seems that it is covered with hairs, a lot of legs. It would look like a cockroach if it were black. But, apparently, the body is soft, unlike a cockroach. Under pressure, it bursts, as if it is pumped with water. I don't have time to take a picture, because I'm very scared, I push and throw it away. I can't find what it is anywhere on the Internet.

05.03.2008 22:36, VBoris

Doesn't it look like woodlice?"

05.03.2008 22:56, Guest

That's right, it is. Only for some reason, brown ones are painted everywhere, and I have them-pale toadstools.

Thank you. I thought woodlice were so long and nimble." Also sometimes found smile.gif

05.03.2008 23:00, Baguk

Or maybe it's Lepisma saccharina. I've had them in my bathroom before, too. Wonderful insects!

06.03.2008 8:42, Victor Titov

Long and brisk in the bathroom-this is definitely Lepisma saccharina.

Hello! Please help me identify the insects that have started up in my room. Measuring 2-5 mm, the body is light brown, the head is black, and it flies. Reacts to light, when the chandelier is turned on, they fly to it, and there they die.

It's not a glare. it looks like the elytra is just broken off. Or is it that I can't see clearly?

09.03.2008 14:16, Bad Den

Similar to the leatherhead Attagenus smirnovi

09.03.2008 17:36, nostradamus

Tell me if they can be found in books. And how to get rid of them?
Thank you.

09.03.2008 17:41, amara

Work with the vacuum cleaner in all corners and crevices on the floor.
They are not listed in the books.

Thank you all for your tips and information

10.03.2008 17:55, valex

here are some midges at home. I find them on the windowsill or window sill. Who knows what I have settled -tell me and how to withdraw at the same time. Thank you. _____001.jpg

11.03.2008 7:30, RippeR

1-seeds lol.gif
2 - rider. I've been getting them lately, too.. Most likely, they are parasitic on someone, they are not dangerous for humans, and they are also dangerous for domestic animals.

11.03.2008 11:37, Bad Den

Proctos or IchMan will probably be more accurate, and I will assume that the rider is parasitic on grinder beetles smile.gif

The horror! In our area did not notice

Yes..."distribution" is questionable, rather the "remark" of this beast has sharply increased))) For example, I saw IT for the first time in my life in Samara in the summer of 2006.
just remember what was happening in the country 20 years ago...clearly not up to flycatchers)))))

Well, that's a lot of work... I, for one, have always cared about flycatchers and other arthropods. And as for beetles, don't go to a fortune teller! It was largely thanks to them, my dear ones, that I survived this troubled time.

Dubious version. who was engaged-that was engaged in arthropods. It turned out, after all, a few years ago and we saw, too, in the bath (my wife). "What did you do?" - I washed it away (I was frightened by this monster).
Perhaps it is connected with the introduction from the southern territories in some way (preimaginal stages)?

jump.gif Hurray! I found it! And I've searched the entire Internet to find this little creature! From the series "go there, I don't know where, find something, I don't know what". Only they are white mother-of-pearl, the color is very beautiful (really similar to sugar). But when you don't know what it is, who it is, and what it can do or ruin, it's not fun at all. Especially if there are small children in the house (one is almost 3 years old, and the second is almost 1 year old) weep.gif I didn't know what to do with these mother-of-pearl beauties. wall.gif

Yes, here is more information for the same "dummies" like me about what scales eat and love. Good luck to all wink.gif

The city of Apatity, Murmansk region. Such a creature crawled out from under a broken outlet in our office on the first floor of an apartment building. Only it is pale, without stripes. The length of this organism is 43 mm (only the body), its legs describe a beautiful wave when walking, it turns slowly, they offered it a spider - they didn't like it-it went along the wall out of the window. All the ladies are in a panic-they demand sanitation of the premises. The men liked the all-terrain vehicle.

I'm terrified of them, and I always have a goal-to destroy them!

28.03.2008 1:57, zhurik

Recently found strange beetles in a rented apartment, size 3-5 mm, six legs and antennae, color dark brown, as far as I could see crawled out from behind the baseboard, daily find 3-6 pieces, do not behave actively, crawl somehow crooked and on the walls mostly-the walls are painted, the floor is laminate. Probably in hibernation were and crawled out in the spring, the apartment is rented only a couple of months, located in the south of Bavaria. The photo is not very good, but I hope it will help in determining.

Thank you in advance, the site is very interesting, but I couldn't find my uninvited guests.

These cute fake beetles are, if I'm not mistaken, from the genus Gybbus.
Harmless creatures-crawling around the house, pleasing to the eye, I have never crawled such frown.gif

Butterflies, spiders and ladybirds are pleasing to the eye, but these are not encouraging.
I would have forgotten about them if I rarely saw them, and so if it wasn't a day, it was a partysmile.gif. I searched Google and found no information about them, who they are, why they start up, or how to get rid of them.
But in any case, thank you so much for the answer, otherwise everything that is not known seems dangerous.

28.03.2008 22:05, RippeR

Yes, I made a mistake the name is spelled Gibbium.
Most likely, the beetles behind the baseboard are eating something.. maybe rotten dents, maybe overgrown plants smile.gif

I really ask for your help. There were small flying insects in the room, dark gray with transparent wings, about the size of midges. When flying, they ring like mosquitoes. It is almost impossible to track the flight path, they fly quickly. Bite - fly up for a split second and back. They are activated at night, and they almost do not bite in artificial light. They bite the limbs (fingers and toes), the contour of the lips, forehead, eyelids, and occasionally shoulders. When I turn off the light in the evening, these insects crawl under the blanket, under the clothes, it is absolutely impossible to sleep, they bite and ring.
I thought it was mosquitoes, but the fumigators didn't help at all, I tried different brands.
Please help me identify the insect. The third day I sleep no more than four hours frown.gif

30.03.2008 10:24, Nozer

It's probably something from the Simuliidae family. They appear where there are nearby reservoirs, or pots with flowers if the soil is very wet. In short, they are water lovers. And fumigators are unlikely to help here, we need special solutions against them. In general, these midges are more than 40 species. It is very difficult to say what you have got.

Midge larvae do not live in flower pots, they need running water.

Guest, it would still be nice to have at least some image. Yes, and where do you live, in Moscow? Probably mosquitoes.

30.03.2008 11:11, omar

I think they're woodlice. Mosquitoes do not crawl under the blanket. And woodlice can live in flower pots. And there can be no midges also because all midges are day-time, not night-time activity. Yes, and it matters where you write from.

I live in Moscow, but I can't attach a picture, because I haven't found anything similar on the Web, and I can't take a picture myself. Cheslovo, these things move very fast. We don't have any flowers, potted land, or even any land in the apartment, aquariums or fountains, and the room is quite dry.
Today I ran for dichlorvos (flies, cockroaches, mosquitoes, ants, mosquitoes, moths, fleas, bedbugs) and aerosol A-steam (from lice). I sprayed both products at the maximum concentration half an hour ago. The insects are still alive, although the air here is such that it is not a sin for a person to die.

30.03.2008 12:30, mikee

By all indications, these are glitchestongue.gif, especially if they survive after dichlorvos.

30.03.2008 14:27, guest: Rio

mikee, no glitches ))) They don't bite me alone ))

It means that your glitches are not simple, but specific and collectivelol.gif. Joke from Zadornov: "if you saw a small black midge, then you have good eyesight." Photos of these glitches come on, Rio! Possible corpses of glitches tongue.gif

Everything is in order, the subforum is dedicated not only to breeding (as originally intended), but also to everyday problems with insects (as it turned out in the process wink.gif).
