maybe it's a well-fed tick??

06.09.2011 17:30, Вздохухоль

Doesn't that sound like it? This is the larva of the babbler fly.

http://www.dpughphoto.com/images/syrphid%2...ens%2070307.JPG

So the photo is very fuzzy, of course.

No, it doesn't look like it at all.
It looks like a flattened and shriveled dark gray caterpillar. eek.gif

By the quality of the photo, we can say that this is a dream come true for ufologists. Very realistic.

14.09.2011 8:01, Pirx

If there is no other photo, then I confirm that this is the larva of a babbling fly (Scaeva, Epistrophe etc.).

Hello!
Moving to another apartment, we decided to remove a thin carpet in the room to lay a different cover. Under the carpet, on the inside of it, dead beetles were found (at least they did not move and did not show signs of life yet). The body is oblong, probably 4 mm long on average, and dark brown in color. I thought I could see a proboscis, but I can't say for sure. It doesn't look flat, but rather has a small volume, it seems that they are too hard on top. Under the carpet, by the way, there is an old parquet floor... Maybe they're chewing on it?
Unfortunately, there are no photos yet. Maybe we'll do it today, if there are any more. We are insanely afraid that these are, for example, bedbugs..., because we don't really want to get into such cases. And we need to move urgently, so only bedbugs were not enough right now.
Thank you in advance if anyone responds!

Hello, my sister found a caterpillar today, who knows who will come out of it later, what does it eat, take it to the street(maybe it will be buried) or leave it at home? In short, does it know how to winter or not?

Maybe bedbugs. It looks like them. I can't tell for sure from your description.

This bedstraw hawk moth
feeds on bedstraw and some other plants.
Refer - do not refer-it's up to you.
Dig in-yes.
She can do anything. Otherwise, it would have already died out. smile.gif

okoem, thank you, then I'll take it. I thought that maybe it didn't have time to pupate in the summer and will die, so I wanted to take it, but since it will survive, so be it.

There will be no photos, they have run out smile.gif
But still, what size are the fly larvae?

Good evening, help, please, there were beetles in the apartment, small 1-2mm, black, when you approach, pretend to be dead. When pressed, they crunch and crawl slowly. It seems to be coming out of the baseboard.

How can I help you? Send beetles? smile.gif

Tell me how to get rid of them for the children is scary, and they (bugs) are already climbing all over the apartment.

First, without a photo from your description, it is almost impossible to determine 100% what kind of attack you have (by the way, almost all beetles - if they are beetles - crunch when crushed).
Secondly, it is safe to assume that we are talking about skin-eating beetles. But (I emphasize) only assume!
Third, if they are really beetles, they are not dangerous for children by themselves (well, as long as they are children - they will not collect them in their mouths).
Fourth, if they are really kozheaters, then they feed, among other things, on accumulations of dust and so on. behind the baseboards. Pickling the apartment is stupid - this is just for children, and for adults it is not safe, to put it mildly. But I recommend doing general wet cleaning in all corners and crevices more often and more carefully.

I can't take a picture, it's too small, you can't see it clearly, it doesn't look like a skinhead (I looked at the photo on the Internet). The beetle has six legs, two thin antennae protrude, and in the middle of the antennae a proboscis, larger than the antennae. It looks like a barn weevil, only black and smaller.

All insects and, of course, all beetles have 6 legs. Here you can see what details pop up, already a proboscis! Proboscis-this is essential, if indeed a "proboscis", then perhaps an elephant (weevil). Here on this one http://selhozrabota.ru/archives/25 similar? Well, if it is, then the breeding site can definitely be stocks of cereals (grains?) in the house. View it. If you find the source , all affected stocks are subject to unambiguous destruction. Destroy beetles crawling around the apartment (i.e. crush them). View the remaining stocks, preventing repeated mass reproduction.

Good day! Please help us identify our new neighbors smile.gif
Briefly - new renovation, 3-4 months, new building. Floor 11. Size-up to 1 mm kids, 1-1. 5 mm adults (currently). They love toilets, window sills and baseboards. When you put your finger next to them, they try to clumsily fly up or jump up. Adults were also found under the ceiling (2.70 m). Babies are transparent adults are darker.

Do you think they might have brought their comrades from Sri Lanka? Please tell me, can you really compete with them and by what means?

Why Sri Lanka? And here they are common: read the topic (there should also be measures of struggle).
Or search for it. I can't say anything about this myself (I haven't encountered it).

Not necessarily holoovnye: easily and wardrobe items they can be (in their clothes, but they don't live in their heads).

Duc, most likely, judging by the photo, there are clothes yes.gif

23.09.2011 16:46, Melf

you scared me again! I just found them, the vile ones, in my aunt's head (where they came from, too, is unclear, but the swarm! My friend's child came to us two months ago, apparently just from the camp...and that's all, then she has contacts within the family, she is disabled, not a foot out of the house...) Found, horrified, potravila the first time, and you say wardrobe... = (This is me now the entire wardrobe combing....
You really are sorry that I'm with you, damn, about ... lice...=)))

I will encourage you: against clothes, ordinary dichlorvos works well or diesel fuel with dust (tested in the army) smile.gif

Well, if they found it in my head, then, apparently, I was mistaken: it's the head ones. It is not surprising to make a mistake: the photo is not too high-quality, and the view is almost the same. The child could well have brought this scourge from the camp.

Dear experts help!!!!!
Just the night before yesterday, a beetle crawled out from under the eaves(a beetle is not a beetle, I do not know, it looks like a woodlouse at all, many people say). Immediately destroyed, did not attach importance. The next day I found the same one on the tulle, almost near the ceiling, and on the wall. In the evening, it was already dark, another one crawled along the wall. This morning I saw 2x on the ceiling. Besides, it's in the hall! Not in the kitchen, not in the bathroom. They walk along the eaves, climb under them,go there(the cracks between the m / u wall and the eaves allow them to crawl through) According to the description: small 1.5 cm in length, teardrop-shaped, small antennae, many short paws, black themselves, but in the vicinity of some kind of corrugated, grayish-black. and the belly is red like. on the ass 2 small tails.
We think that these are some cockroaches, they run from above(we have the 3rd floor), because they seem to be doing repairs there. The house is old, brick, wooden floors...
Help! it's terrible to sleep, it will fall on your head at night... Especially to me from one type of this animal it is bad....

Some kind of weevil bug. They don't bite: look elsewhere for the reason.

29.09.2011 12:54, Ritari

strange.. because I shook it off my leg, and it was in that place that the bite soon appeared.

what could be the reason then? bedbugs?.. what should I do then..? (first encounter).

29.09.2011 16:04, rotten

vasiliy-feoktistov, thank you, yes, as we thought... but why do they appear on the baseboard near the ceiling, or right in the center of the room on the ceiling??? we definitely don't have them in the bathroom, everything is dry there, and the door is always closed. I didn't see anything like that there. it seems to me that they are climbing from the neighbors from above... but I also read that woodlice does not climb walls, and even more so on the ceiling wall.gif

Vasily is right: this is a weevil beetle, it definitely couldn't have bitten you. What is the reason for the appearance of a spot (?) on your foot, identified by you as a bite, it is difficult to say: there is insufficient data for any conclusions. Perhaps it's all about your personal perception of the" crawling " fraternity (in psychology) - fear has big eyes wink.gif.

Woodlice don't climb walls? Why would that be? Yes, they can! But the fact that they crawl to you from neighbors is quite possible. If there is high humidity in their room.
