I looked at your link yes very similar to Gibbium. Bali is seen in the hall, as I have already written in the carpet, on the walls, ceilings and under the baseboards. None of the family members were bitten ( and why do they also bite? confused.gif  the image is no longer on the site: gggg.jpg ). I do not know what they eat, they did not eat anything in my lol.gifpresence . Can they live in plants? Are these Gibbium dangerous to humans? Thank you so much for your answers.

in my opinion, they are safe (if they do not damage any coatings, it depends on the power supply).
Very cute creatures-send me a dozen by mail smile.gif

They eat, as mentioned above, various products of plant and animal origin (it is quite possible that they eat some kind of food). They can hardly live in living plants, but rather in herbariums.
They do not directly pose a danger to humans (they will not bite at night smile.gif), but their excrement, for example, can cause allergic reactions.

In general, I wonder where they got divorced in this number. No matter how many times I went to all sorts of warehouses/grain elevators/feed mills/SVH, etc., I never met them. confused.gif

Thank you allbeer.gif-saved the psyche mol.gif(the second day we go and on a nervous basis only look at the walls, but at the ceiling) wall.gif
Well, if this is such a rarity, maybe it's time for me to open a mailing list of these "rare" instances lol.gif
In the room where the high presence of insects was observed, there is (a plant)"SCINDAPSUS", and it is supported by a bamboo pole covered with cacos "fiber" (at least very similar to cacos)-can it start in this braid??
Yes, even than they can still be removed(maybe there is some folk method, without chemistry??)

04.10.2006 18:13, RippeR

how to withdraw money.. Catch them all, starve them out, and send them to me in the mailsmile.gif, they'll just be scared out of their wits smile.gif
But seriously, in my opinion, tansy can scare them and drive them out. But as in this time with it I do not know..
I don't think it's a rare species. They are just very small and not so easy to find. I didn't find much, just three types. This one may or may not exist. But the animals are very funny. Here is a friend who told me about 1 species (he had 1 specimen dragged away by a friend) from Romania, which is found only in 1 cave of the world (well, it is already clear where). It doesn't look like such a mega giga, it looks very similar to others, but....

04.10.2006 18:40, Chromocenter

What kind of cave is this in Romania? In general, I have heard that many special things live in the caves.

04.10.2006 20:12, RippeR

All I know is that there's a cave in Romania, where there seem to be flying mice living, and these cute creatures are in their reptiles.. Strictly guard the cave, do not allow you to collect a single ex-tipo national commons

These beetles can easily develop in the coke fiber, especially if it is rotting. Also check the carpet, they can develop in moistened wool, linen, etc. fabrics, leather.
If you send me a few copies, I will be grateful to you - I have not seen these beetles yet, so to speak, "in kind", only in the photo smile.gif

Ripper, what do you want???
Bad Den at least approximately, but defined the "beast", and you???

07.10.2006 21:12, RippeR

me, because I asked for it first (see above). And the fact that I determined-well done!

In my bathroom, there are some gray beetles on the floor near the baseboards and especially in the area of the cement partition under the sink. It seems that they are fluffy, have a large number of" legs", including on the back. "Legs" as a rule, like the whole body, are gray (merge with the color of cement) or slightly darker. The size is less than a centimeter. the largest individuals are slightly smaller than the usual black cockroach (and 2 times the usual red). They crawl out almost exclusively at night , moving slowly. What are these strange entities? Are they dangerous?
PS I live on the first floor.

20.10.2006 2:42, RippeR

Personally, I have no guesses frown.gifyet, please check the size again.. I understand that they are 2 times smaller than red and slightly smaller than black. But black is bigger than red.. So far, associations are only with woodlice.

20.10.2006 7:23, sealor

In general, the description is similar to chervetsov.
But for certain reasons it can not be worms, so most likely woodlice or some other crustaceans, you never know where someone chews...

20.10.2006 9:58, Bad Den

Don't you have a photo?

20.10.2006 10:36, Насекомовед

But they don't look like them: http://entomology.ru/main_menu/news/20050110.htm "Scalefish?"

20.10.2006 19:14, andr_mih

The description is similar to the larvae of leatherworms of the genus Anthrenus. Take a look here:
http://it.geocities.com/entomologymelchion...le/image002.jpg
http://www.ipmimages.org/images/768x512/1233095.jpg
They are very dangerous! eek.gif They carry the basement scabies and ship panic virus smile.gif

to Ripper:
In fact, the black cockroach is smaller than the red cockroach at first. But when he grows up, then he turns into a redhead. But no one knows about it smile.gif
Woodlice do not have legs on the back, they are all on the abdomen. And chervets don't even have legs on their abdomen frown.gif

20.10.2006 19:47, Chromocenter

aha, andr_mih, you should have seen the local black cockroaches-4 cm long. And they fly in the windows, run around the room. (But I usually feel sorry for killing them - I catch them and throw them out the window)
No one has legs on their back at all. And does not the bristle-tail take Ruthen44 for these "monsters"?

21.10.2006 9:22, sealor

No, about the transformation of cockroaches-great! Indeed it is!
There were already bristle-tails, the Insect Expert guessed.
In General, while the choice is such-woodlice, worms, scales, kozheedy.
As for me, leatherheads are most suitable. Worms are of course completely excluded, they are neither suitable for ecology nor size:)
Although they have plenty of legs, here:
http://www.flowersweb.info/images/pests&di...ococcidae-1.jpg

21.10.2006 15:05, RippeR

Yes, most of all on kozheedov smacks..
And about cockroaches is good, but not very.. Larvae of redheads are a separate topic, and large black cockroaches, which I sometimes mistakenly brought instead of beetleslol.gif, are another matter

21.10.2006 17:28, guest: Гость

I'm sorry to interrupt the forum of smart people, but I have a question about an insect that was in my bathroom:
A cross between a spider and a cockroach, the belly is round, smooth, six large legs, such as the largest in a grasshopper, a long whisker that the animal drives (maybe there was a second one, but it broke), and most importantly, sorry, a trident sticks out of the ass!
I didn't have time to take a picture, now I'm tormented, what was it????
I live in Moscow.

21.10.2006 18:42, andr_mih

It could be anything - for example, a female Tachycines asynamorus, Gryllus domesticus, or even Delirium tremens. Can't you put a photo or describe the animal more precisely?

21.10.2006 20:49, Насекомовед

And it's not you who set the topic http://molbiol.ru/forums/index.php?showtop...t=0#entry412494
Check out my post in there.

21.10.2006 21:51, sealor

Geez, I started looking for what Delirium tremens looks like... This species has very strong variability, however!

22.10.2006 23:21, Ooo

Help!
The daughter in the bathroom caught the "monster", covered it with a glass, examined it and ..... I let her go.
Now he really wants to know who it was. Description: the body is dark, slightly speckled, 6 legs, strong, jumping insect, a long antenna mustache in front, a trident protrudes from behind.
options for the female cricket, greenhouse grasshopper, and black cockroach are no longer available. frown.gif

GORGEOUS STYLIZED PORTRAIT OF A SCALEFISH!
5 POINTS!
That's great! Although "surreal", but identified immediately. jump.gif
Wow!!!

23.10.2006 0:40, Chromocenter

But what about jumping ability?

23.10.2006 10:55, Bad Den

Cricket, I give you a tooth smile.gif

23.10.2006 13:47, Ooo

No, not scaly... My legs are wrong... Our bouncy!!! And the size is about 5cm...
But the cricket's trident isn't like that!

23.10.2006 14:48, Bad Den

In general, it is 100% an Orthoptera...

23.10.2006 17:49, andr_mih

If you catch it, please don't kill it - it may be a new species of grasshopper in our fauna.

23.10.2006 18:47, Pavel Morozov

Oh, sorry, damn, I didn't pay attention to the jumpiness. mol.gif

23.10.2006 19:26, sealor

Yes, there are simply no words, because it does not happen that ALL THREE pairs of legs were thick-jumping!! The body is segmented, isn't it? The belly is rounded, that's okay, but what kind of head, eyes? Were there any rudiments of wings? This can also be considered without much supervision... And most importantly, with this size-5 cm.
In general, judging by the picture, his legs are abdominal, if it is 5 cm, then there is nothing left for the abdomen itself...

23.10.2006 19:37, sealor

In general, I agree about the cricket, he probably was.
Look at this, maybe you'll find out:
http://images.google.com.ua/images?q=gryllus&hl=ru
"trident" there is just often just such a case - almost equal outgrowths.

23.10.2006 21:34, Ooo

If I had seen it myself, I would probably have told you what kind of eyes, head, etc.
I'm leaning towards grasshopper.
Kill - never! She puts them in a cup and goes free smile.gif yes.gif

24.10.2006 14:08, RippeR

Take a look at the topic "Entomology and children", maybe we have a replenishment planned? smile.gif
